கோதுமை அறுப்பு நாட்களிலே ரூபன் வயல்வெளியிலே போய், தூதாயீம் கனிகளைக் கண்டெடுத்து, அவைகளைக் கொண்டுவந்து தன் தாயாகிய லேயாளிடத்தில் கொடுத்தான். அப்பொழுது ராகேல் லேயாளை நோக்கி: உன் குமாரனுடைய தூதாயீம் கனியில் எனக்குக் கொஞ்சம் தா என்றாள்.
