மனந்திரும்புங்கள், அப்பொழுது பிழைப்பீர்கள்; சாகிறவனுடைய சாவை நான் விரும்புகிறதில்லை என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

அப்பொழுது தேவனுடைய மனிதன் ஒருவன் வந்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து: கர்த்தர் பள்ளத்தாக்குகளின் தேவனாக இல்லாமல், மலைகளின் தேவனாயிருக்கிறார் என்று சீரியர்கள் சொல்லியிருக்கிறபடியால், நான் இந்த ஏராளமான மக்கள் கூட்டத்தையெல்லாம் உன்னுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தேன்; அதினால் நானே கர்த்தர் என்று நீங்கள் அறிவீர்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.

இஸ்ரவேல் அரசனிடம் தேவமனிதன் ஒருவன் கீழ்க்கண்ட செய்திகளோடு வந்தான். கர்த்தர் சொன்னார், “‘கர்த்தராகிய நான் மலைகளின் தேவன் என்று ஆராமியர் சொன்னார்கள். சமவெளிப் பிரதேசங்களுக்கு நான் தேவன் அல்ல’ என்று அவர்கள் நினைத்துக் கொண்டு இருக்கிறார்கள். எனவே இந்த பெரும் படையைத் தோற்கடிக்க உன்னை அனுமதிக்கிறேன். பிறகு நீங்கள் அனைவரும் எல்லா இடங்களுக்கும் நானே கர்த்தர் என்பதை உணர்வீர்கள்.”
