நீங்கள் இனி அபத்தமானதைத் தரிசிப்பதுமில்லை, சாஸ்திரம் பார்ப்பதுமில்லை; நான் என் ஜனத்தை உங்கள் கைகளுக்கு நீங்கலாக்கிவிடுவேன்; அப்பொழுது நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அறிந்து கொள்வீர்கள் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

அந்நாளிலே நான் விக்கிரகங்களின்பேரும் தேசத்திலிராதபடிக்கு அழிப்பேன்; அவைகள் இனி நினைக்கப்படுவதில்லை; தரிசனம் சொல்லுகிறவர்களையும் அசுத்த ஆவியையும் தேசத்திலிருந்து போய்விடவும் பண்ணுவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

அப்பொழுது நான்: ஆ கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரே, இதோ, நீங்கள் பட்டயத்தைக் காண்பதில்லை, உங்களுக்குப் பஞ்சமும் வருவதில்லை; உறுதியான சமாதானத்தையே இவ்விடத்தில் உங்களுக்குத் தருவோமென்றார் என்று தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறார்களே என்றேன்.

கேனானாவின் குமாரனாகிய சிதேக்கியா தனக்கு இருப்புக்கொம்புகளை உண்டாக்கி, இவைகளால் நீர் சீரியரை முட்டி நிர்மூலமாக்கிப் போடுவீர் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.

அப்பொழுது அவன்: இஸ்ரவேலரெல்லாரும் மேய்ப்பன் இல்லாத ஆடுகளைப்போல மலைகளிலே சிதறப்பட்டதைக் கண்டேன்; அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர்: இவர்களுக்கு எஜமான் இல்லை; அவரவர் தம் தம் வீட்டிற்குச் சமாதானத்தோடே திரும்பக்கடவர்கள் என்றார் என்று சொன்னான்.

கள்ளநாவு தன்னால் கிலேசப்பட்டவர்களைப் பகைக்கும்; இச்சகம்பேசும் வாய் அழிவை உண்டுபண்ணும்.

எருசலேமின் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளிலும் திடுக்கிடத்தக்க காரியத்தைக் காண்கிறேன்; விபசாரம்பண்ணி, வஞ்சகமாய் நடந்து, ஒருவனும் தன் பொல்லாப்பை விட்டுத் திரும்பாதபடிக்குப் பொல்லாதவர்களின் கைகளைத் திடப்படுத்துகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் எல்லாரும் எனக்குச் சோதோமைப்போலும், அதின் குடிகள் கொமோராவைப்போலும் இருக்கிறார்கள்.
