மேஜையையும் சீத்திம் மரத்தால் பண்ணினான்; அது இரண்டு முழ நீளமும் ஒரு முழ அகலமும் ஒன்றரை முழ உயரமுமானது.

நான் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்புவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்கிறார்; பாபிலோனுடைய பெயரையும், அதில் மீதியாக இருக்கிறதையும், சந்ததியையும் பின்சந்ததியையும் அழிப்பேனென்று கர்த்தர் சொல்கிறார்.

சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் கூறினார், “அந்த ஜனங்களுக்கு எதிராக நான் நின்று சண்டையிடுவேன். புகழ்பெற்ற நகரமான பாபிலோனை நான் அழிப்பேன். பாபிலோனிலுள்ள அனைத்து ஜனங்களையும் நான் அழிப்பேன். அவர்களின் பிள்ளைகளையும் பேரப்பிள்ளைகளையும், பேரப்பிள்ளைகளின் பிள்ளைகளையும் நான் அழிப்பேன்” என்றார்.இவை அனைத்தையும் கர்த்தர் தாமே கூறினார்.
