சூரியன் அவன்மேல் உதித்திருந்ததானால், அவன் நிமித்தம் இரத்தப்பழி சுமரும்; திருடன் பதில் கொடுத்துத் தீர்க்கவேண்டும்; அவன் கையில் ஒன்றும் இல்லாதிருந்தால், தான் செய்த களவுக்காக விலைப்படக்கடவன்.

சூரியன் அவன்மேல் உதித்தபின்பு, அவனுடைய இரத்தப்பழி சுமரும்; திருடன் பதில் கொடுத்துத் தீர்க்கவேண்டும்; அவனுடைய கையில் ஒன்றும் இல்லாமல் இருந்தால், தான் செய்த திருட்டுக்காக விற்கப்படுவான்.

கதிரவன் உதித்தபின் இது நிகழ்ந்திருந்தால், இரத்தப்பழி உண்டு. அவர் ஈடுகொடுத்தேயாக வேண்டும். திருட்டுக்கு ஈடாக அவரிடம் எதுவுமே இல்லையெனில் அவர் விற்கப்படுவார்.

Sooriyan avanmael uthiththirunthathaanaal, avan nimiththam iraththappali sumarum; thirudan pathil koduththuth theerkkavaenndum; avan kaiyil ontum illaathirunthaal, thaan seytha kalavukkaaka vilaippadakkadavan.

Exodus 22:3 in Other Translations

If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
