சணல்வஸ்திரம் தரித்தவரும், ஆற்றின் தண்ணீர்களின்மேல் நிற்கிறவருமாகிய புருஷனை ஒருவன் நோக்கி: இந்த ஆச்சரியமானவைகளின் முடிவுவர எவ்வளவுகாலம் செல்லும் என்று கேட்டான்.

לְב֣וּשׁ, לְמֵימֵ֣י

Daniel 12:8

நான் எதைக் கேட்டும், அதின்பொருளை அறியவில்லை; ஆகையால்: என் ஆண்டவனே, இவைகளின் முடிவு என்னமாயிருக்கும் என்று கேட்டேன்.

אֵֽלֶּה׃

And I heard	וָאֶשְׁמַ֞ע	wāʾešmaʿ	va-esh-MA
	אֶת	ʾet	et
the man	הָאִ֣ישׁ׀	hāʾîš	ha-EESH
clothed	לְב֣וּשׁ	lĕbûš	leh-VOOSH
in linen,	הַבַּדִּ֗ים	habbaddîm	ha-ba-DEEM
which	אֲשֶׁ֣ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
was upon	מִמַּעַל֮	mimmaʿal	mee-ma-AL
the waters	לְמֵימֵ֣י	lĕmêmê	leh-may-MAY
of the river,	הַיְאֹר֒	hayʾōr	hai-ORE
when he held up	וַיָּ֨רֶם	wayyārem	va-YA-rem
his right hand	יְמִינ֤וֹ	yĕmînô	yeh-mee-NOH
and his left hand	וּשְׂמֹאלוֹ֙	ûśĕmōʾlô	oo-seh-moh-LOH
unto	אֶל	ʾel	el
heaven,	הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם	haššāmayim	ha-sha-MA-yeem
and sware	וַיִּשָּׁבַ֖ע	wayyiššābaʿ	va-yee-sha-VA
by him that liveth	בְּחֵ֣י	bĕḥê	beh-HAY
for ever	הָעוֹלָ֑ם	hāʿôlām	ha-oh-LAHM
that	כִּי֩	kiy	kee
it shall be for a time,	לְמוֹעֵ֨ד	lĕmôʿēd	leh-moh-ADE
times,	מֽוֹעֲדִ֜ים	môʿădîm	moh-uh-DEEM
and an half;	וָחֵ֗צִי	wāḥēṣî	va-HAY-tsee
and when he shall have accomplished	וּכְכַלּ֛וֹת	ûkĕkallôt	oo-heh-HA-lote
to scatter	נַפֵּ֥ץ	nappēṣ	na-PAYTS
the power	יַד	yad	yahd
of the holy	עַם	ʿam	am
people,	קֹ֖דֶשׁ	qōdeš	KOH-desh
all	תִּכְלֶ֥ינָה	tiklênâ	teek-LAY-na
these	כָל	kāl	hahl
things shall be finished.	אֵֽלֶּה׃	ʾēlle	A-leh
