கர்த்தர் தெரிந்துகொண்ட இரண்டு வம்சங்களையும் வெறுத்துப்போட்டாரென்று இந்த ஜனம் சொல்லி, தங்களுக்கு முன்பாக என் ஜனம் இனி ஒரு ஜாதியல்லவென்று அதைத் தூஷிக்கிறார்களென்பதை நீ காண்கிறதில்லையோ?

“எரேமியா, ஜனங்கள் என்ன சொல்லிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள் என்று பார்த்தாயா? அந்த ஜனங்கள் சொல்லுகிறார்கள். ‘கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் மற்றும் யூதா என்னும் வம்சங்களை விட்டு திரும்பிவிட்டார். அந்த ஜனங்களை கர்த்தர் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தார். ஆனால், இப்போது அவர் அதனைத் தேசமாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை நிராகரித்துவிட்டார்.’”
