உடனே அவள் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் சீக்கிரமாய் வந்து: நீர் இப்பொழுதே ஒரு தாலத்தில் யோவான்ஸ்நானனுடைய தலையை எனக்குத் தரவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டாள்.

உடனே விரைவாக அவள் மன்னனிடம் திரும்பி வந்தாள். அவள் மன்னனிடம், “யோவான் ஸ்நானகனின் தலையை எனக்குத் தாருங்கள். உடனே எனக்கு அதனைத் தட்டில் வைத்துத் தர வேண்டும்” என்று கேட்டாள்.
