1 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் மறுபடியும் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தபடியால், கர்த்தர் அவர்களை நாற்பது வருஷமளவும் பெலிஸ்தர் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார். And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

2 அப்பொழுது தாண் வம்சத்தானாகிய சோரா ஊரானான ஒரு மனுஷன் இருந்தான்; அவன் பேர் மனோவா; அவன் மனைவி பிள்ளைபெறாத மலடியாயிருந்தாள். And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.

3 கர்த்தருடைய தூதனானவர் அந்த ஸ்திரீக்குத் தரிசனமாகி, அவளை நோக்கி: இதோ, பிள்ளைபெறாத மலடியான நீ கர்ப்பந்தரித்து, ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெறுவாய். And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.

4 ஆதலால் நீ திராட்சரசமும் மதுபானமும் குடியாதபடிக்கும், தீட்டானது ஒன்றும் புசியாதபடிக்கும் எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு. Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:

5 நீ கர்ப்பந்தரித்து, ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெறுவாய்; அவன் தலையின்மேல் சவரகன் கத்தி படலாகாது; அந்தப் பிள்ளை பிறந்ததுமுதல் தேவனுக்கென்று நசரேயனாயிருப்பான்; அவன் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பெலிஸ்தரின் கைக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி ரட்சிக்கத் தொடங்குவான் என்றார். For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

6 அப்பொழுது அந்த ஸ்திரீ தன் புருஷனிடத்தில் வந்து: தேவனுடைய மனுஷன் ஒருவர் என்னிடத்தில் வந்தார்; அவருடைய சாயல் தேவனுடைய தூதரின் சாயலைப்போல மகா பயங்கரமாயிருந்தது; எங்கேயிருந்து வந்தீர் என்று நான் அவரிடத்தில் கேட்கவில்லை; அவர் தம்முடைய நாமத்தை எனக்குச் சொல்லவுமில்லை. Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name:

7 அவர் என்னை நோக்கி: இதோ, நீ கர்ப்பந்தரித்து, ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெறுவாய்; ஆதலால் நீ திராட்சரசமும் மதுபானமும் குடியாமலும், தீட்டானது ஒன்றும் புசியாமலும் இரு; அந்தப் பிள்ளை பிறந்தது முதல் தன் மரணநாள் மட்டும் தேவனுக்கென்று நசரேயனாயிருப்பான் என்று சொன்னார் என்றாள். But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death.

8 அப்பொழுது மனோவா கர்த்தரை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணி: ஆ, என் ஆண்டவரே, நீர் அனுப்பின தேவனுடைய மனுஷன் மறுபடியும் ஒருவிசை எங்களிடத்தில் வந்து, பிறக்கப்போகிற பிள்ளைக்காக நாங்கள் செய்யவேண்டியதை எங்களுக்குக் கற்பிப்பாராக என்று வேண்டிக்கொண்டான். Then Manoah intreated the LORD, and said, O my Lord, let the man of God which thou didst send come again unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the child that shall be born.

9 தேவன் மனோவாவின் சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தார்; அந்த ஸ்திரீ வயல் வெளியில் இருக்கும்போது தேவனுடைய தூதனானவர் திரும்பவும் அவளிடத்தில் வந்தார்; அப்பொழுது அவள் புருஷனாகிய மனோவா அவளோடே இருக்கவில்லை. And God hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her husband was not with her.

10 ஆகையால் அந்த ஸ்திரீ சீக்கிரமாய் ஓடி, இதோ, அன்று என்னிடத்தில் வந்தவர் எனக்குத் தரிசனமானார் என்று தன் புருஷனுக்கு அறிவித்தாள். And the woman made haste, and ran, and showed her husband, and said unto him, Behold, the man hath appeared unto me, that came unto me the other day.

11 அப்பொழுது மனோவா எழுந்திருந்து, தன் மனைவியின் பின்னாலே போய், அவரிடத்துக்கு வந்து: இந்த ஸ்திரீயோடே பேசினவர் நீர்தானா என்று அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டான்; அவர் நான் தான் என்றார். And Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said unto him, Art thou the man that spakest unto the woman? And he said, I am.

12 அப்பொழுது மனோவா: நீர் சொன்னகாரியம் நிறைவேறும்போது, அந்தப் பிள்ளையை எப்படி வளர்க்கவேண்டும், அதை எப்படி நடத்தவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டான். And Manoah said, Now let thy words come to pass. How shall we order the child, and how shall we do unto him?

13 கர்த்தருடைய தூதனானவர் மனோவாவை நோக்கி: நான் ஸ்திரீயோடே சொன்ன யாவற்றிற்கும், அவள் எச்சரிக்கையாயிருந்து, And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware.

14 திராட்சச்செடியிலே உண்டாகிறதொன்றும் சாப்பிடாமலும், திராட்சரசமும் மதுபானமும் குடியாமலும், தீட்டானதொன்றும் புசியாமலும், நான் அவளுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டதையெல்லாம் கைக்கொள்ளக்கடவள் என்றார். She may not eat of any thing that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe.

15 அப்பொழுது மனோவா கர்த்தருடைய தூதனை நோக்கி: நாங்கள் ஒரு வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டியை உமக்காகச் சமைத்துக்கொண்டுவருமட்டும் தரித்திரும் என்றான். And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, I pray thee, let us detain thee, until we shall have made ready a kid for thee.

16 கர்த்தருடைய தூதனானவர் மனோவாவை நோக்கி: நீ என்னை இருக்கச் சொன்னாலும் நான் உன் உணவைப் புசியேன்; நீ சர்வாங்க தகனபலி இடவேண்டுமானால், அதை நீ கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்துவாயாக என்றார். அவர் கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் என்று மனோவா அறியாதிருந்தான். And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.

17 அப்பொழுது மனோவா கர்த்தருடைய தூதனை நோக்கி: நீர் சொன்னகாரியம் நிறைவேறும்போது, நாங்கள் உம்மைக் கனம்பண்ணும்படி உம்முடைய நாமம் என்ன என்று கேட்டான். And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee honor?

18 அதற்குக் கர்த்தருடைய தூதனானவர்; என் நாமம் என்ன என்று நீ கேட்கவேண்டியது என்ன? அது அதிசயம் என்றார். And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?

19 மனோவா போய், வெள்ளாட்டுக் குட்டியையும், போஜனபலியையும் கொண்டுவந்து, அதைக் கன்மலையின்மேல் கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்தினான்; அப்பொழுது மனோவாவும் அவன் மனைவியும் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், அதிசயம் விளங்கினது. So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the LORD: and the angel did wonderously; and Manoah and his wife looked on.

20 அக்கினிஜுவாலை பலிபீடத்திலிருந்து வானத்திற்கு நேராக எழும்பு கையில், கர்த்தருடைய தூதனானவர் பலிபீடத்தின் ஜுவாலையிலே ஏறிப்போனார்; அதை மனோவாவும் அவன் மனைவியும் கண்டு, தரையிலே முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள். For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.

21 பின்பு கர்த்தருடைய தூதனானவர் மனோவாவுக்கும் அவன் மனைவிக்கும் காணப்படவில்லை; அப்பொழுது அவர் கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் என்று மனோவா அறிந்து, But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD.

22 தன் மனைவியைப் பார்த்து: நாம் தேவனைக் கண்டோம், சாகவே சாவோம் என்றான். And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.

23 அதற்கு அவன் மனைவி: கர்த்தர் நம்மைக் கொன்றுபோடச் சித்தமாயிருந்தால், அவர் நம்முடைய கையிலே சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும் போஜனபலியையும் ஒப்புக்கொள்ளமாட்டார், இவைகளையெல்லாம் நமக்குக் காண்பிக்கவுமாட்டார், இவைகளை நமக்கு அறிவிக்கவுமாட்டார் என்றாள். But his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have showed us all these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these.

24 பின்பு அந்த ஸ்திரீ ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்று, அவனுக்குச் சிம்சோன் என்று பேரிட்டாள். அந்தப் பிள்ளை வளர்ந்தது; கர்த்தர் அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்தார். And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him.

25 அவன் சோராவுக்கும் எஸ்தாவோலுக்கும் நடுவிலுள்ள தாணின் பாளயத்தில் இருக்கையில் கர்த்தருடைய ஆவியானவர் அவனை ஏவத்துவக்கினார். And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.

1 Israel puththirar maraுpatiyum karththarin paarvaikkup pollaappaanathaich seythapatiyaal, Karththar avarkalai naarpathu varushamalavum pelisthar kaiyil oppukkoduththaar. And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

2 Appoluthu thaann vamsaththaanaakiya soraa ooraanaana oru manushan irunthaan; avan paer manovaa; avan manaivi pillaiperaatha malatiyaayirunthaal. And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.

3 Karththarutaiya thoothanaanavar antha sthireekkuth tharisanamaaki, avalai Nnokki: itho, pillaiperaatha malatiyaana nee karppanthariththu, oru kumaaranaip peraுvaay. And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.

4 Aathalaal nee thiraatcharasamum mathupaanamum kutiyaathapatikkum, theettanathu ontum pusiyaathapatikkum echcharikkaiyaayiru. Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:

5 Nee karppanthariththu, oru kumaaranaip peraுvaay; avan thalaiyinmael savarakan kaththi padalaakaathu; anthap pillai piranthathumuthal thaevanukkentu nasaraeyanaayiruppaan; avan isravaelaip pelistharin kaikku neengalaakki ratchikkath thodanguvaan entar. For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

6 Appoluthu antha sthiree than purushanidaththil vanthu: thaevanutaiya manushan oruvar ennidaththil vanthaar; avarutaiya saayal thaevanutaiya thootharin saayalaippola makaa payangaramaayirunthathu; engaeyirunthu vantheer entu naan avaridaththil kaetkavillai; avar thammutaiya naamaththai enakkuch sollavumillai. Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name:

7 Avar ennai Nnokki: itho, nee karppanthariththu, oru kumaaranaip peraுvaay; aathalaal nee thiraatcharasamum mathupaanamum kutiyaamalum, theettanathu ontum pusiyaamalum iru; anthap pillai piranthathu muthal than marananaal mattum thaevanukkentu nasaraeyanaayiruppaan entu sonnaar ental. But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death.

8 Appoluthu manovaa karththarai Nnokki vinnnappampannnni: aa, en aanndavarae, neer anuppina thaevanutaiya manushan maraுpatiyum oruvisai engalidaththil vanthu, pirakkappokira pillaikkaaka naangal seyyavaenntiyathai engalukkuk karpippaaraaka entu vaenntikkonndaan. Then Manoah intreated the LORD, and said, O my Lord, let the man of God which thou didst send come again unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the child that shall be born.

9 Dhevan manovaavin saththaththukkuch sevikoduththaar; antha sthiree vayal veliyil irukkumpothu thaevanutaiya thoothanaanavar thirumpavum avalidaththil vanthaar; appoluthu aval purushanaakiya manovaa avalotae irukkavillai. And God hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her husband was not with her.

10 Aakaiyaal antha sthiree seekkiramaay oti, itho, antu ennidaththil vanthavar enakkuth tharisanamaanaar entu than purushanukku ariviththaal. And the woman made haste, and ran, and showed her husband, and said unto him, Behold, the man hath appeared unto me, that came unto me the other day.

11 Appoluthu manovaa elunthirunthu, than manaiviyin pinnaalae poy, avaridaththukku vanthu: intha sthireeyotae paesinavar neerthaanaa entu avaridaththil kaettan; avar naan thaan entar. And Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said unto him, Art thou the man that spakest unto the woman? And he said, I am.

12 Appoluthu manovaa: neer sonnakaariyam niraivaeraுmpothu, anthap pillaiyai eppati valarkkavaenndum, athai eppati nadaththavaenndum entu kaettan. And Manoah said, Now let thy words come to pass. How shall we order the child, and how shall we do unto him?

13 Karththarutaiya thoothanaanavar manovaavai Nnokki: naan sthireeyotae sonna yaavattirkum, aval echcharikkaiyaayirunthu, And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware.

14 Thiraatchachchetiyilae unndaakirathontum saappidaamalum, thiraatcharasamum mathupaanamum kutiyaamalum, theettanathontum pusiyaamalum, naan avalukkuk kattalaiyittathaiyellaam kaikkollakkadaval entar. She may not eat of any thing that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe.

15 Appoluthu manovaa karththarutaiya thoothanai Nnokki: naangal oru vellaattukkuttiyai umakkaakach samaiththukkonnduvarumattum thariththirum entan. And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, I pray thee, let us detain thee, until we shall have made ready a kid for thee.

16 Karththarutaiya thoothanaanavar manovaavai Nnokki: nee ennai irukkach sonnaalum naan un unavaip pusiyaen; nee sarvaanga thakanapali idavaenndumaanaal, athai nee karththarukkuch seluththuvaayaaka entar. Avar karththarutaiya thoothan entu manovaa ariyaathirunthaan. And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.

17 Appoluthu manovaa karththarutaiya thoothanai Nnokki: neer sonnakaariyam niraivaeraுmpothu, naangal ummaik kanampannnumpati ummutaiya naamam enna entu kaettan. And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee honor?

18 Atharkuk karththarutaiya thoothanaanavar; en naamam enna entu nee kaetkavaenntiyathu enna? Athu athisayam entar. And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?

19 Manovaa poy, vellaattuk kuttiyaiyum, pojanapaliyaiyum konnduvanthu, athaik kanmalaiyinmael karththarukkuch seluththinaan; appoluthu manovaavum avan manaiviyum paarththukkonntirukkaiyil, athisayam vilanginathu. So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the LORD: and the angel did wonderously; and Manoah and his wife looked on.

20 Akkinijuvaalai palipeedaththilirunthu vaanaththirku naeraaka elumpu kaiyil, karththarutaiya thoothanaanavar palipeedaththin juvaalaiyilae aeripponaar; athai manovaavum avan manaiviyum kanndu, tharaiyilae mukanguppura vilunthaarkal. 21 Pinpu karththarutaiya thoothanaanavar manovaavukkum avan manaivikkum kaanappadavillai; appoluthu avar karththarutaiya thoothan entu manovaa arinthu, But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD.

22 Than manaiviyaip paarththu: naam thaevanaik kanntoom, saakavae saavom entan. And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.

23 Atharku avan manaivi: Karththar nammaik kontupodach siththamaayirunthaal, avar nammutaiya kaiyilae sarvaanga thakanapaliyaiyum pojanapaliyaiyum oppukkollamaattar, ivaikalaiyellaam namakkuk kaannpikkavumaattar, ivaikalai namakku arivikkavumaattar ental. But his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have showed us all these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these.

24 Pinpu antha sthiree oru kumaaranaip pettaு, avanukkuch simson entu paerittal. Anthap pillai valarnthathu; Karththar avanai aaseervathiththaar. And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him.

25 Avan soraavukkum esthaavolukkum naduvilulla thaannin paalayaththil irukkaiyil karththarutaiya Aaviyaanavar avanai aevaththuvakkinaar. And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.
