அவன்மேல் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிற பெரிய கற்குவியலைக் குவித்தார்கள்; இப்படியே கர்த்தர் தமது கோபத்தின் உக்கிரத்தைவிட்டு மாறினார்; ஆகையால் அவ்விடம் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் ஆகோர் பள்ளத்தாக்கு என்னப்படும்.

ஆகானை எரித்த பின், அவன் உடம்பின் மீது கற்களைக் குவித்தனர். அவை இன்னும் அங்கு உள்ளன. தேவன் ஆகானின் குடும்பத்திற்குத் தொல்லை கொடுத்தார். அதனால் அவ்விடம் ஆகோர் (தொல்லை) பள்ளத்தாக்கு எனப்படுகிறது. அதன் பின் கர்த்தர் ஜனங்களிடம் கோபமாயிருக்கவில்லை.
