அப்புறம் யோசியாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோயாக்கீம் என்கிற யூதாவுடைய ராஜாவின் நாட்களிலும், யோசியாவின் குமாரனாகிய சிதேக்கியா என்கிற யூதாவுடைய ராஜாவின் பதினோராம் வருஷத்து முடிவுமட்டாகவும், எருசலேம் ஊரார் ஐந்தாம் மாதத்தில் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போகும்வரைக்கும் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை அவனுக்கு உண்டாயிற்று.

யூதாவின் அரசனாக யோயாக்கீம் இருந்தபோதும் அந்தக் காலத்தில் கர்த்தர் எரேமியாவுடன் தொடர்ந்து பேசினார். யோயாக்கீம் யோசியாவின் மகன், யூதாவின் அரசனாக சிதேக்கியா இருந்த பதினோறு ஆண்டுகளும் ஐந்து மாதங்களும் கர்த்தர் எரேமியாவுடன் தொடர்ந்து பேசினார். சிதேக்கியாவும் யோசியாவின் மகனாக இருந்தான். சிதேக்கியா அரசனாக இருந்த பதினொன்றாவது ஆண்டின் ஐந்தாவது மாதத்தில் எருசலேமில் வாழ்ந்த ஜனங்கள் சிறையெடுக்கப்பட்டனர்.
