Genesis 42 in Tamil

1 எகிப்திலே தானியம் உண்டென்று யாக்கோபு அறிந்து, தன் குமாரரை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் ஒருவர் முகத்தை ஒருவர் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது என்ன? Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another?

2 எகிப்திலே தானியம் உண்டென்று கேள்விப்படுகிறேன்; நாம் சாகாமல் உயிரோடிருக்கும்படி நீங்கள் அவ்விடத்துக்குப் போய் நமக்காகத் தானியம் கொள்ளுங்கள் என்றான். And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die.

3 யோசேப்பின் சகோதரர் பத்துப்பேர் தானியங்கொள்ள எகிப்துக்குப் போனார்கள். And Joseph's ten brethren went down to buy corn in Egypt.

4 யோசேப்பின் தம்பியாகிய பென்யமீனுக்கு ஏதோ மோசம் வரும் என்று சொல்லி, யாக்கோபு அவனை அவன் சகோதரரோடு அனுப்பவில்லை. But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said, Lest peradventure mischief befall him.

5 கானான் தேசத்திலே பஞ்சம் உண்டாயிருந்தபடியால், தானியம் கொள்ளப்போகிறவர்களுடனேகூட இஸ்ரவேலின் குமாரரும் போனார்கள். And the sons of Israel came to buy corn among those that came: for the famine was in the land of Canaan.

6 யோசேப்பு அத்தேசத்துக்கு அதிபதியாயிருந்து, தேசத்தின் ஜனங்கள் யாவருக்கும் விற்றான். யோசேப்பின் சகோதரர் வந்து, முகங்குப்புறத் தரையிலே விழுந்து அவனை வணங்கினார்கள். And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth.

7 யோசேப்பு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து, தன் சகோதரர் என்று அறிந்துகொண்டான்; அறிந்தும் அறியாதவன்போலக் கடினமாய் அவர்களோடே பேசி: நீங்கள் எங்கேயிருந்து வந்தீர்கள் என்று கேட்டான்; அதற்கு அவர்கள்: கானான் தேசத்திலிருந்து தானியம் கொள்ள வந்தோம் என்றார்கள். And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food.

8 யோசேப்பு அவர்களைத் தன் சகோதரர் என்று அறிந்தும், அவர்கள் அவனை அறியவில்லை. And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew not him.

9 யோசேப்பு அவர்களைக் குறித்துத் தான் கண்ட சொப்பனங்களை நினைத்து, அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் வேவுகாரர், தேசம் எங்கே திறந்து கிடக்கிறது என்று பார்க்க வந்தீர்கள் என்றான். And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them, Ye are spies; to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.

10 அதற்கு அவர்கள்: அப்படியல்ல, ஆண்டவனே, உமது அடியாராகிய நாங்கள் தானியம் கொள்ள வந்தோம். And they said unto him, Nay, my lord, but to buy food are thy servants come.

11 நாங்கள் எல்லாரும் ஒரு தகப்பனுடைய பிள்ளைகள்; நாங்கள் நிஜஸ்தர்; உமது அடியார் வேவுகாரர் அல்ல என்றார்கள். We are all one man's sons; we are true men, thy servants are no spies.

12 அதற்கு அவன்: அப்படியல்ல, தேசம் எங்கே திறந்து கிடக்கிறது என்று பார்க்கவே வந்தீர்கள் என்றான். And he said unto them, Nay, but to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.

13 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள்: உமது அடியாராகிய நாங்கள் பன்னிரண்டு சகோதரர்; கானான் தேசத்தில் இருக்கிற ஒரு தகப்பன் புத்திரர்; இளையவன் இப்பொழுது எங்கள் தகப்பனிடத்தில் இருக்கிறான்; ஒருவன் காணாமற்போனான் என்றார்கள். And they said, Thy servants are twelve brethren, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and, behold, the youngest is this day with our father, and one is not.

14 யோசேப்பு அவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்களை வேவுகாரர் என்று நான் சொன்னது சரி. And Joseph said unto them, That is it that I spake unto you, saying, Ye are spies:

15 உங்கள் இளைய சகோதரன் இங்கே வந்தாலொழிய நீங்கள் இங்கேயிருந்து புறப்படுவது இல்லை என்று பார்வோனின் ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு ஆணையிட்டுச் சொல்லுகிறேன். Hereby ye shall be proved: By the life of Pharaoh ye shall not go forth hence, except your youngest brother come hither.

16 இதினாலே நீங்கள் சோதிக்கப்படுவீர்கள்; உங்கள் சகோதரனை அழைத்துவரும்படி உங்களில் ஒருவனை அனுப்புங்கள்; உங்களிடத்தில் உண்மையுண்டோ இல்லையோ என்று உங்கள் வார்த்தைகள் சோதிக்கப்படுமளவும், நீங்கள் காவலில் இருக்கவேண்டும்; இல்லாவிட்டால், நீங்கள் வேவுகாரர்தான் என்று பார்வோனின் ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு ஆணையிட்டுச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று சொல்லி, Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies.

19 நீங்கள் நிஜஸ்தரானால், சகோதரராகிய உங்களில் ஒருவன் காவற் கூடத்தில் கட்டுண்டிருக்கட்டும்; மற்றவர்கள் புறப்பட்டு, பஞ்சத்தினால் வருந்துகிற உங்கள் குடும்பத்துக்குத் தானியம் கொண்டுபோய்க் கொடுத்து, If ye be true men, let one of your brethren be bound in the house of your prison: go ye, carry corn for the famine of your houses:

20 உங்கள் இளைய சகோதரனை என்னிடத்துக்கு அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவாருங்கள்; அப்பொழுது உங்கள் வார்த்தைகள் மெய்யென்று விளங்கும்; நீங்கள் சாவதில்லை என்றான். அவர்கள் அப்படிச் செய்கிறதற்கு இசைந்து: But bring your youngest brother unto me; so shall your words be verified, and ye shall not die. And they did so.

And Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and ye would not hear? therefore, behold, also his blood is required.

And he turned himself about from them, and wept; and returned to them again, and communed with them, and took from them Simeon, and bound him before their eyes.

27 தங்குகிற இடத்திலே அவர்களில் ஒருவன் தன் கழுதைக்குத் தீவனம்போடத் தன் சாக்கைத் திறந்தபோது, சாக்கின் வாயிலே தன் பணம் இருக்கிறதைக் கண்டு, And as one of them opened his sack to give his ass provender in the inn, he espied his money; for, behold, it was in his sack's mouth.

28 தன் சகோதரரைப் பார்த்து, என் பணம் திரும்ப வந்திருக்கிறது; இதோ, அது என் சாக்கிலே இருக்கிறது என்றான். அப்பொழுது அவர்களுடைய இருதயம் சோர்ந்துபோய், அவர்கள் பயந்து, ஒருவரை ஒருவர் பார்த்து, தேவன் நமக்கு இப்படிச் செய்தது என்ன என்றார்கள். And he said unto his brethren, My money is restored; and, lo, it is even in my sack: and their heart failed them, and they were afraid, saying one to another, What is this that God hath done unto us?

31 நாங்களோ அவனை நோக்கி: நாங்கள் நிஜஸ்தர், வேவுகாரர் அல்ல. And we said unto him, We are true men; we are no spies:

32 நாங்கள் பன்னிரண்டு சகோதரர், ஒரு தகப்பன் புத்திரர், ஒருவன் காணாமற்போனான், இளையவன் இப்பொழுது கானான் தேசத்தில் எங்கள் தகப்பனிடத்தில் இருக்கிறான் என்றோம். We be twelve brethren, sons of our father; one is not, and the youngest is this day with our father in the land of Canaan.

33 அப்பொழுது தேசத்தின் அதிபதியானவன்: நீங்கள் நிஜஸ்தர் என்பதை நான் அறியும்படி உங்கள் சகோதரரில் ஒருவனை நீங்கள் என்னிடத்தில் விட்டு, பஞ்சத்தினால் வருந்துகிற உங்கள் குடும்பத்துக்குத் தானியம் வாங்கிக்கொண்டுபோய்க் கொடுத்து, And the man, the lord of the country, said unto us, Hereby shall I know that ye are true men; leave one of your brethren here with me, and take food for the famine of your households, and be gone:

34 உங்கள் இளைய சகோதரனை என்னிடத்தில் அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவாருங்கள்; அதினாலே நீங்கள் வேவுகாரர் அல்ல, நிஜஸ்தர் என்பதை நான் அறிந்துகொண்டு, உங்கள் சகோதரனை விடுதலை செய்வேன்; நீங்கள் இந்தத்தேசத்திலே வியாபாரமும் பண்ணலாம் என்றான் என்று சொன்னார்கள். And bring your youngest brother unto me: then shall I know that ye are no spies, but that ye are true men: so will I deliver you your brother, and ye shall traffic in the land.

And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.

And Reuben spake unto his father, saying, Slay my two sons, if I bring him not to thee: deliver him into my hand, and I will bring him to thee again.

And he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he is left alone: if mischief befall him by the way in the which ye go, then shall ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.

1 Ekipthilae thaaniyam unndentu yaakkopu arinthu, than kumaararai Nnokki: neengal oruvar mukaththai oruvar paarththukkonntirukkirathu enna? Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another?

2 Ekipthilae thaaniyam unndentu kaelvippadukiraேn; naam saakaamal uyirotirukkumpati neengal avvidaththukkup poy namakkaakath thaaniyam kollungal entan. And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die.

3 Yoseppin sakotharar paththuppaer thaaniyangaொlla ekipthukkup ponaarkal. And Joseph's ten brethren went down to buy corn in Egypt.

4 Yoseppin thampiyaakiya penyameenukku aetho mosam varum entu solli, yaakkopu avanai avan sakothararodu anuppavillai. But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said, Lest peradventure mischief befall him.

5 Kaanaan thaesaththilae panjam unndaayirunthapatiyaal, thaaniyam kollappokiravarkaludanaekooda isravaelin kumaararum ponaarkal. And the sons of Israel came to buy corn among those that came: for the famine was in the land of Canaan.

6 Yoseppu aththaesaththukku athipathiyaayirunthu, thaesaththin janangal yaavarukkum vittaாn. Yoseppin sakotharar vanthu, mukanguppurath tharaiyilae vilunthu avanai vananginaarkal. And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth.

7 Yoseppu avarkalaip paarththu, than sakotharar entu arinthukonndaan; arinthum ariyaathavanpolak katinamaay avarkalotae paesi: neengal engaeyirunthu vantheerkal entu kaettan; atharku avarkal: kaanaan thaesaththilirunthu thaaniyam kolla vanthom entarkal. And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food.

8 Yoseppu avarkalaith than sakotharar entu arinthum, avarkal avanai ariyavillai. And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew not him.

9 Yoseppu avarkalaik kuriththuth thaan kannda soppanangalai ninaiththu, avarkalai Nnokki: neengal vaevukaarar, thaesam engae thiranthu kidakkirathu entu paarkka vantheerkal entan. And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them, Ye are spies; to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.

10 Atharku avarkal: appatiyalla, aanndavanae, umathu atiyaaraakiya naangal thaaniyam kolla vanthom. And they said unto him, Nay, my lord, but to buy food are thy servants come.

11 Naangal ellaarum oru thakappanutaiya pillaikal; naangal nijasthar; umathu atiyaar vaevukaarar alla entarkal. We are all one man's sons; we are true men, thy servants are no spies.

12 Atharku avan: appatiyalla, thaesam engae thiranthu kidakkirathu entu paarkkavae vantheerkal entan. And he said unto them, Nay, but to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.

13 Appoluthu avarkal: umathu atiyaaraakiya naangal panniranndu sakotharar; kaanaan thaesaththil irukkira oru thakappan puththirar; ilaiyavan ippoluthu engal thakappanidaththil irukkiraan; oruvan kaannaamarponaan entarkal. And they said, Thy servants are twelve brethren, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and, behold, the youngest is this day with our father, and one is not.

14 Yoseppu avarkalai Nnokki: ungalai vaevukaarar entu naan sonnathu sari. And Joseph said unto them, That is it that I spake unto you, saying, Ye are spies:

15 Ungal ilaiya sakotharan ingae vanthaaloliya neengal ingaeyirunthu purappaduvathu illai entu paarvonin jeevanaikkonndu aannaiyittuch sollukiraேn. Hereby ye shall be proved: By the life of Pharaoh ye shall not go forth hence, except your youngest brother come hither.

16 Ithinaalae neengal sothikkappaduveerkal; ungal sakotharanai alaiththuvarumpati ungalil oruvanai anuppungal; ungalidaththil unnmaiyunntoo illaiyo entu ungal vaarththaikal sothikkappadumalavum, neengal kaavalil irukkavaenndum; illaavittal, neengal vaevukaararthaan entu paarvonin jeevanaikkonndu aannaiyittuch sollukiraேn entu solli, Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies.

18 Moontam naalilae yoseppu avarkalai Nnokki: naan thaevanukkup payappadukiravan; neengal uyirotae irukkumpatikku ontu seyyungal. And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear God:

19 Neengal nijastharaanaal, sakothararaakiya ungalil oruvan kaavar koodaththil kattunntirukkattum; mattavarkal purappattu, panjaththinaal varunthukira ungal kudumpaththukkuth thaaniyam konndupoyk koduththu, If ye be true men, let one of your brethren be bound in the house of your prison: go ye, carry corn for the famine of your houses:

20 Ungal ilaiya sakotharanai ennidaththukku alaiththukkonnduvaarungal; appoluthu ungal vaarththaikal meyyentu vilangum; neengal saavathillai entan. Avarkal appatich seykiratharku isainthu: But bring your youngest brother unto me; so shall your words be verified, and ye shall not die. And they did so.

21 Nammutaiya sakotharanukku naam seytha thurokam nammael sumanthathu; avan nammaik kenji vaenntikkonndapothu, avanutaiya mana viyaakulaththai naam kanndum, avanukkuch sevikodaamarponomae; aakaiyaal intha aapaththu namakku naerittathu entu oruvarai oruvar paarththuch sollikkonndaarkal. And they said one to another, We are verily guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us.

22 Appoluthu roopan avarkalaip paarththu: ilainjanukku virothamaakap paavanjaெyyaathirungal entu naan ungalukkuch sollavillaiyaa? Neengal kaelaamarponeerkal; ippoluthu, itho, avan iraththappali nammidaththil vaangappadukirathu entan. And Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and ye would not hear? therefore, behold, also his blood is required.

23 Yoseppu thupaasiyaikkonndu avarkalidaththil paesinapatiyaal, thaangal sonnathu avanukkuth theriyum entu ariyaathirunthaarkal. And they knew not that Joseph understood them; for he spake unto them by an interpreter.

24 Avan avarkalai vittu appuram poy aluthu, thirumpa avarkalidaththil vanthu, avarkalotae paesi, avarkalil simiyonaip pitiththu, avarkal kannkalukku munpaakak kattuviththaan. And he turned himself about from them, and wept; and returned to them again, and communed with them, and took from them Simeon, and bound him before their eyes.

25 Pinpu, avarkal saakkukalaith thaaniyaththaal nirappavum, avarkal panaththaith thirumpa avanavan saakkilae podavum, valikku vaenntiya aakaaraththaik kodukkavum yoseppu kattalaiyittan; appatiyae avarkalukkuch seyyappattathu. Then Joseph commanded to fill their sacks with corn, and to restore every man's money into his sack, and to give them provision for the way: and thus did he unto them.

26 Avarkal anthath thaaniyaththaith thangal kaluthaikalmael aettikkonndu, avvidamvittup purappattup ponaarkal. And they laded their asses with the corn, and departed thence.

27 Thangukira idaththilae avarkalil oruvan than kaluthaikkuth theevanampodath than saakkaith thiranthapothu, saakkin vaayilae than panam irukkirathaik kanndu, And as one of them opened his sack to give his ass provender in the inn, he espied his money; for, behold, it was in his sack's mouth.

28 Than sakothararaip paarththu, en panam thirumpa vanthirukkirathu; itho, athu en saakkilae irukkirathu entan. Appoluthu avarkalutaiya iruthayam sornthupoy, avarkal payanthu, oruvarai oruvar paarththu, Dhevan namakku ippatich seythathu enna entarkal. And he said unto his brethren, My money is restored; and, lo, it is even in my sack: and their heart failed them, and they were afraid, saying one to another, What is this that God hath done unto us?

29 Avarkal kaanaan thaesaththilulla thangal thakappanaakiya yaakkopinidaththil vanthu, thangalukkuch sampaviththavaikalaiyellaam avanukku ariviththu, And they came unto Jacob their father unto the land of Canaan, and told him all that befell unto them; saying,

30 Thaesaththukku athipathiyaayirukkiravan engalai thaesaththai vaevupaarkka vanthavarkal entu ennnni engalotae katinamaayp paesinaan. The man, who is the lord of the land, spake roughly to us, and took us for spies of the country.
