Isaiah 7:23
দেশের মাঠে মাঠে যে 1,000 দ্রাক্ষা গাছ আছে তার প্রত্যেকটির মূল্য হবে 1,000 রূপোর টুকরোর সমান| কিন্তু এই দ্রাক্ষা ক্ষেতগুলি আগাছা এবং কাঁটায ভরে যাবে|

‘আর একটি দৃষ্টান্ত শোন! এক জমিদার একটি দ্রাক্ষা ক্ষেত তৈরী করে তার চারদিকে বেড়া দিলেন৷ পরে সেই ক্ষেতের মধ্যে দ্রাক্ষা মাড়াবার জন্য গর্ত খুঁড়লেন৷ পাহারা দেবার জন্য একটা উঁচু পাহারা ঘর তৈরী করলেন৷ পরে কয়েকজন চাষীর কাছে সেই দ্রাক্ষা ক্ষেত ইজারা দিয়ে বিদেশে চলে গেলেন৷

কিন্তু যদি সেই জমি শেয়ালকাঁটা ও কাঁটাঝোপে ভরে যায় তবে তা অর্কম্মন্য জমি, তার ঈশ্বরের অভিশাপে অভিশপ্ত হবার ভয় আছে এবং তা আগুনে পুড়ে ছারখার হয়ে যাবে৷
