Proverbs 12 - DBY (Bengali)

1 Whoso loveth discipline loveth knowledge, but he that hateth reproof is brutish.য়ে ব্যক্তি জ্ঞানলাভ করতে উদগ্রীব, সে তার নিজের সমালোচনা শুনলে ক্রুদ্ধ হবে না| য়ে ব্যক্তি নিজের ত্রুটি বিচ্যুতি সম্পর্কে অন্যের অনুয়োগ শুনতে অপছন্দ করে সে নির্বোধ|

2 A good [man] obtaineth favour of Jehovah; but a man of mischievous devices will he condemn.প্রভু ধার্মিকদের ওপর সন্তুষ্ট| কিন্তু যারা কু-পরিকল্পনা করে প্রভু তাদের দোষী হিসেবে বিচার করেন|

3 A man shall not be established by wickedness; but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.পাপীরা কখনই নিরাপদ নয়| কিন্তু ধার্মিকরা সর্বদা সুরক্ষিত ও নিরাপদ|

4 A woman of worth is a crown to her husband; but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.গুণবতী স্ত্রী তার স্বামীর আনন্দ এবং অহঙ্কারের উত্স| কিন্তু য়ে স্ত্রী তার স্বামীকে লজ্জিত করে সে তার স্বামীর অস্থিতে একটি অসুখের মতই অসহ্য|

5 The thoughts of the righteous are right; the counsels of the wicked are deceit.ধার্মিকরা যা পরিকল্পনা করে তা সর্বদাই সত্‌ এবং সঠিক| কিন্তু লোকদের কু-পরিকল্পনা প্রতারণাপূর্ণ|

6 The words of the wicked are a lying-in-wait for blood; but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.পাপী লোকরা তাদের কথাবার্তার মাধ্যমে অন্যদের আঘাত করে| কিন্তু ধার্মিক লোকদের কথাবার্তা মানুষকে বিপদ থেকে রক্ষা করে|

7 Overthrow the wicked, and they are no [more]; but the house of the righteous shall stand.পাপী লোকরা ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত হয় এবং তাদের কিছুই অবশিষ্ট থাকে না| কিন্তু কোনও ধার্মিক ব্যক্তির মৃত্যুর পরও মানুষ তাকে দীর্ঘকাল মনে রাখে|

8 A man is commended according to his wisdom; but he that is of a perverted heart shall be despised.লোকরা জ্ঞানী মানুষের প্রশংসা করে| কিন্তু লোক কোনও নির্বোধ ব্যক্তিকে সম্মান করে না|

9 Better is he that is lightly esteemed, and hath a servant, than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.খাবার সংস্থান নেই অথচ ধনী হবার ভান করবার চেয়ে বরং একজন ভৃত্যের মালিক হয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ব্যক্তি হওয়া ভালো|

10 A righteous man is concerned for the life of his beast; but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.ভালো লোকরা তাদের পালিত পশুদের যত্ন নেয়| কিন্তু দুষ্টদের হৃদয়ে সহানুভূতি থাকে না|

11 He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread; but he that followeth the worthless is void of understanding.য়ে কৃষক তার জমিতে পরিশ্রম করে তার পর্য়াপ্ত খাদ্য থাকবে| কিন্তু য়ে ব্যক্তি অসার চিন্তাভাবনায় সময় নষ্ট করে সে নির্বোধ|

12 The wicked desireth the net of evil [men]; but the root of the righteous yieldeth [fruit].পাপী লোকরা যা আকাঙ্খা করে দুষ্ট লোকরা তাই চায়, কিন্তু সেটা ভালো লোকদের দেওয়া হবে|

13 In the transgression of the lips is an evil snare; but a righteous [man] shall go forth out of trouble.দুষ্ট লোকরা নির্বোধের মত কথা বলে এবং প্রায়শঃই নিজেদের কথার ফাঁদে জড়িয়ে পড়ে| ধার্মিকরা এধরণের বিপদের সম্মুখীন হয় না|

14 A man is satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth; and the recompense of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.লোকরা তাদের মুখ নিঃসৃত কথার জন্য এবং হাতের কাজের জন্যও পুরস্কৃত হয়|

15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes; but he that is wise hearkeneth unto counsel.নির্বোধরা ভাবে তাদের পথই শ্রেষ্ঠ পথ| কিন্তু বিবেচকরা অন্যের পরামর্শ খোলামনে গ্রহণ করে|

16 The vexation of the fool is presently known; but a prudent [man] covereth shame.নির্বোধরা সহজেই হতাশ হয়ে পড়ে| বুদ্ধিমান লোকরা অপমানকে অগ্রাহ্য করে|

17 He that uttereth truth sheweth forth righteousness; but a false witness deceit.সত্যভাষীরা সর্বদাই বিশ্বাসযোগ্য| কিন্তু মিথ্যাবাদীরা অপরকে বিপদের দিকে ঠেলে দেয়|

18 There is that babbleth like the piercings of a sword; but the tongue of the wise is health.য়ে ব্যক্তি চিন্তাভাবনা না করে কথাবার্তা বলে তার বাক্য তরবারির মত আঘাত করতে পারে| কিন্তু বিচক্ষণ ব্যক্তি কথা বলার সময় সজাগ থাকে| তাঁর বাক্য ঐ আঘাতের যন্ত্রণা মুছে দেয়|

19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever; but a lying tongue is but for a moment.য়ে ব্যক্তি মিথ্যা কথা বলে তার বাক্য ক্ষণস্থায়ী| কিন্তু সত্য চিরকালই অমর|

20 Deceit is in the heart of them that devise evil; but to the counsellors of peace is joy.যারা অপরের বিরুদ্ধে কু-পরিকল্পনা করে তারা নিজেদেরই ঠকায়| যারা শান্তির জন্য কাজ করে তারা সুখী|

21 There shall no evil happen to a righteous [man]; but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.ঈশ্বর ধার্মিকদের সর্বদা রক্ষা করবেন| কিন্তু পাপীরা অসংখ্য় সমস্যায় পড়বে|

22 Lying lips are an abomination to Jehovah; but they that deal truly are his delight.প্রভু মিথ্যাবাদীদের ঘৃণা করেন| তিনি সত্যবাদীদের প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট|

23 A prudent man concealeth knowledge; but the heart of the foolish proclaimeth folly.বুদ্ধিমান লোকরা যা জানে কখনও তার সবটা বলে না| কিন্তু এক জন নির্বোধ ব্যক্তি, সে যা জানে সবই বলে দিয়ে নিজেকে মূর্খ প্রতিপন্ন করে|

24 The hand of the diligent shall bear rule; but the slothful [hand] shall be under tribute.কঠোর পরিশ্রমীদের অন্যান্য শ্রমিকদের দায়িত্বে রাখা হবে| কিন্তু য়ে অলস তাকে চির কাল অন্যের দাসত্ব করে য়েতে হবে|

25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop; but a good word maketh it glad.চিন্তা মানুষের সুখ ও আনন্দ কেড়ে নেয়| কিন্তু একটি দযা বত্সল শব্দ মানুষকে আনন্দিত করে|

26 The righteous guideth his neighbour; but the way of the wicked misleadeth them.বন্ধু নির্বাচনে এক জন ধার্মিক মানুষ বিচক্ষণতার পরিচয় দেয়| কিন্তু একজন দুষ্ট ব্যক্তি সর্বদা ভুল বন্ধু নির্বাচন করে|

27 The slothful roasteth not what he took in hunting; but man's precious substance is to the diligent.এক জন অলস ব্যক্তি কখনও তার য়ে জিনিস প্রয়োজন তার পেছনে ছোটে না| ধন আসে কঠিন পরিশ্রমীদের কাছে|

28 In the path of righteousness is life, and in the pathway thereof there is no death.তুমি যদি সঠিক পথে জীবনযাপন কর তাহলে তুমি সত্য জীবন পাবে| ন্যায়পরাযণতার পথ জীবনের দিকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যায়|
