ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা মরুভূমিতে থাকাকালীন একজনকে বিশ্রামবারে কাঠ জড়ো করতে দেখল|

| a man | אִ֛ישׁ | ʾîš | eesh |
| that gathered | מְקֹשֵׁ֥שׁ | mĕqōšēš | meh-koh-SHAYSH |
| sticks | עֵצִ֖ים | ʿēṣîm | ay-TSEEM |
| upon the sabbath | בְּי֥וֹם | bĕyôm | beh-YOME |
