Nehemiah 8:3
ইষ্রা তখন জলদ্বারের সামনের খোলা চত্বরের দিকে মুখ করে জোর গলায ভোর থেকে শুরু করে দুপুর পর্য়ন্ত বিধিপুস্তকটি পাঠ করে শোনালেন| উপস্থিত সকলেই পূর্ণ মনোযোগ সহকারে তা শুনল|

| the morning | מִן | min | meen |
| until | הָאוֹר֙ | hāʾôr | ha-ORE |
| midday, | עַד | ʿad | ad |
| מַֽחֲצִ֣ית | maḥăṣît | ma-huh-TSEET | |
| before | הַיּ֔וֹם | hayyôm | HA-yome |
| the men | נֶ֛גֶד | neged | NEH-ɡed |
| women, the and | הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֥ים | hāʾănāšîm | ha-uh-na-SHEEM |
| understand; could that those and | וְהַנָּשִׁ֖ים | wĕhannāšîm | veh-ha-na-SHEEM |
| and the ears | וְהַמְּבִינִ֑ים | wĕhammĕbînîm | veh-ha-meh-vee-NEEM |
| all of | וְאָזְנֵ֥י | wĕʾoznê | veh-oze-NAY |
| the people | כָל | kāl | hahl |
| unto attentive were | הָעָ֖ם | hāʿām | ha-AM |
