তারপর তাঁরা যিরীহোতে এলেন৷ তিনি যখন নিজের শিষ্যদের এবং বহুলোকের সাথে যিরীহো ছেড়ে যাচ্ছিলেন, সেই সময় পথের ধারে তীময়ের ছেলে বরতীময় নামে এক অন্ধ ভিখারী বসেছিল৷

பென்யமீன் சேனை திரும்பி, பாலைவனத்திற்கு நேரே ஓடினார்கள். அவர்கள் ரிம்மோன் பாறை எனப்படும் இடத்திற்கு ஓடினார்கள். ஆனால் இஸ்ரவேல் சேனையினர் பெரும் பாதைகளில் 5,000 பென்யமீன் வீரர்களைக் கொன்றனர். பென்யமீன் மனிதர்களை அவர்கள் துரத்திக் கொண்டேயிருந்தனர். அவர்களைக் கீதோம் வரைக்கும் துரத்தினார்கள். அவ்விடத்தில் இஸ்ரவேல் சேனை இன்னும் 2,000 வீரர்களைக் கொன்றது.
