একদিন তাঁরা রাস্তা দিয়ে জেরুশালেমের দিকে যাচ্ছেন এবং যীশু তাঁদের আগে আগে চলেছেন৷ শিষ্যেরা আশ্চর্য হচ্ছিলেন আর তাঁর সঙ্গে যাঁরা চলছিল, সেই লোকেরা ভীত হল৷ তখন তিনি আবার সেই বারোজন প্রেরিতকে নিয়ে নিজের প্রতি যা যা ঘটবে তা তাদের বলতে লাগলেন৷

மற்றவர்கள் விலகி, வனாந்திரத்தில் இருக்கிற ரிம்மோன் கன்மலைக்கு ஓடிப்போனார்கள்; அவர்களில் இன்னும் ஐயாயிரம்பேரை இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் வழிகளில் கொன்று, மற்றவர்களைக் கீதோம்வரைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து, அவர்களில் இரண்டாயிரம்பேரைக் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள்.

பென்யமீன் சேனை திரும்பி, பாலைவனத்திற்கு நேரே ஓடினார்கள். அவர்கள் ரிம்மோன் பாறை எனப்படும் இடத்திற்கு ஓடினார்கள். ஆனால் இஸ்ரவேல் சேனையினர் பெரும் பாதைகளில் 5,000 பென்யமீன் வீரர்களைக் கொன்றனர். பென்யமீன் மனிதர்களை அவர்கள் துரத்திக் கொண்டேயிருந்தனர். அவர்களைக் கீதோம் வரைக்கும் துரத்தினார்கள். அவ்விடத்தில் இஸ்ரவேல் சேனை இன்னும் 2,000 வீரர்களைக் கொன்றது.
