ছেলেটা যখন আসছিল, তখন সেই ভূত তাকে আছাড় মারল আর তাতে সে প্রবলভাবে হাত-পা ছোঁড়াছুঁড়ি করতে লাগল৷ যীশু সেই অশুচি আত্মাকে ধমক দিলেন৷ তারপর ছেলেটিকে সম্পূর্ণ সুস্থ করে তার বাবার কাছে ফেরত্ দিলেন৷

And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

And as he was yet a coming, the demon dashed him down, and tare `him' grievously. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.

হঠাত্, একটা অশুচি আত্মা তাকে ধরে, আর সে চিত্‌কার করতে থাকে৷ সেই আত্মা যখন তাকে মুচড়ে ধরে তখন তার মুখ থেকে ফেনা কাটতে থাকে৷ এটা সহজে তাকে ছেড়ে য়েতে চায় না, তাকে একবারে ঝাঁঝরা করে দেয়৷

তখন পিতর হাত বাড়িয়ে তাঁকে উঠে দাঁড়াতে সাহায্য করলেন৷ এরপর তিনি বিশ্বাসীদের ও সেই বিধবাদের ডেকে তাঁকে জীবিত দেখালেন৷
