হেরোদ তার সৈন্যদের নিয়ে যীশুকে নানাভাবে অপমান ও উপহাস করলেন৷ পরে একটা সুন্দর আলখাল্লা পরিয়ে তাঁকে আবার পীলাতের কাছে পাঠিয়ে দিলেন৷
