Genesis 1:2
অন্ধকারে আবৃত ছিল জলরাশি আর ঈশ্বরের আত্মা সেই জলরাশির উপর দিয়ে ভেসে বেড়াচ্ছিল|

| was upon | עַל | ʿal | al |
| the face | פְּנֵ֣י | pĕnê | peh-NAY |
| deep. the of | תְה֑וֹם | tĕhôm | teh-HOME |
| And the Spirit | וְר֣וּחַ | wĕrûaḥ | veh-ROO-ak |
| of God | אֱלֹהִ֔ים | ʾĕlōhîm | ay-loh-HEEM |
| moved | מְרַחֶ֖פֶת | mĕraḥepet | meh-ra-HEH-fet |
| upon | עַל | ʿal | al |
| the face | פְּנֵ֥י | pĕnê | peh-NAY |
| of the waters. | הַמָּֽיִם׃ | hammāyim | ha-MA-yeem |
