লেবীয় পরিবারগোষ্ঠীর পুরুষদের মোট সংখ্যা ছিল 23,000 জন| কিন্তু ইস্রায়েলের অন্যান্য লোকদের সঙ্গে এদের গণনা করা হয় নি| প্রভু অন্যান্য লোকদের যে জমি দিয়েছিলেন তার কোনো অংশ তাঁরা পান নি|
