Hosea 4:14
“তোমাদের কন্যারা পতিতার মতো থাকে বলে অথবা তোমাদের পুত্রবধূরা য়ৌন পাপ কাজ করছে বলে আমি তাদের দোষ দেব না| লোকেরা পতিতাদের কাছে যায় এবং তাদের সঙ্গে ঘুমোয| তারা পতিতাদের সঙ্গে যায় এবং মন্দিরে তাদের সঙ্গেই দেবতাকে উত্সর্গ দেয়| ফলে, ঐ বোকা লোকরা নিজেদেরই ধ্বংস করছে|

King James Version (KJV)
I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that doth not understand shall fall.

American Standard Version (ASV)
I will not punish your daughters when they play the harlot, nor your brides when they commit adultery; for `the men' themselves go apart with harlots, and they sacrifice with the prostitutes; and the people that doth not understand shall be overthrown.

I will not give punishment to your daughters or your brides for their evil behaviour; for they make themselves separate with loose women, and make offerings with those who are used for sex purposes in the worship of the gods: the people who have no wisdom will be sent away.

Hosea 14:9
একজন জ্ঞানী ব্যক্তি এই বিষয়গুলো বুঝতে পারছে| এক জন চটকদার মানুষকে অবশ্যই এই বিষয়গুলি শিখতে হবে|প্রভুর পথ সকল সঠিক| ভালো লোকরা সেই পথেই বাঁচবে| পাপীরা তার দ্বারাই মারা যাবে|

ইফ্রয়িম প্রতিমাগুলির সঙ্গে সংযুক্ত হয়েছে| কাজেই তাকে একা থাকতে দাও|

যাজকরা, দিনের বেলায় তোমাদের পতন হবে| রাত্রিবেলায় ভাব্বাদীরাও তোমাদের সঙ্গে পড়ে যাবে| আর আমি তোমাদের মাতাকে ধ্বংস করব|
