Deuteronomy 12:30
তখন সাবধান, তোমাদের চোখের সামনে তাদের ধ্বংসের পর তাদের অনুকরণ করে ফাঁদে পড়ো না| সাবধান, সাহায্যের জন্য ঐ সমস্ত মূর্ত্তির অন্বেষণ করো না, কখনও খোঁজ নিও না, ‘ঐ সমস্ত লোকরা ঐ দেবতাদের কিভাবে পূজা করত, পাছে বল আমিও একইভাবে পূজা করব!’

Jeremiah 10:2
প্রভু যা বলেছেন তা হল:“ভিনদেশীযদের মতো বাস কোরো না| আকাশে বিশেষ চিহ্ন দেখে ভীত হযো না| অন্য দেশের লোকেরা এই চিহ্ন দেখে ভীত| কিন্তু তোমরা এসব দেখে ভয় পেযো না|
Psalm 106:34
ঈশ্বর তাঁর লোকদের কনানে অন্য জাতিসমূহ যারা বাস করছিল তাদের ধ্বংস করে দিতে বললেন| কিন্তু ঈস্রাযেলের লোকরা ঈশ্বরের কথা মান্য করে নি!
2 Kings 17:15
লোকরা তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের সঙ্গে প্রভুর য়ে চুক্তি হয়েছিল সেটা বা তাঁর নির্দেশিত আদেশগুলি অনুসরণ করে নি| প্রভুর সাবধানবাণী না মেনে এবং অয়োগ্য মূর্ত্তি পূজা করে এবং প্রতিবেশী দেশসমূহের মত জীবনযাপন করে তারা নিজেদের অপদার্থ প্রতিপন্ন করেছিল| অথচ প্রভু তাদের বারবার সতর্ক করে দিয়েছিলেন|
Judges 2:2
কিন্তু তাই বলে তোমরা অবশ্যই সে দেশের লোকদের সঙ্গে কখনও কোন চুক্তি করবে না| তাদের তৈরী সমস্ত বেদী তোমাদের ভেঙ্গে ফেলতে হবে| একথা আমি তোমাদের আগেই বলেছি| কিন্তু তোমরা আমার কথা শোন নি| তোমরা করেছ কি?
Numbers 33:52
সেখানকার অধিবাসীদের তোমরা দূর করে দেবে| তোমরা তাদের সমস্ত খোদাই করা মূর্ত্তি ও প্রতিমাদের ধ্বংস করবে এবং তাদের পূজার সমস্ত উচ্চস্থানগুলো ধ্বংস করবে|

“অতীতে তোমরা মিশরে বাস করতে| সেই দেশে ইস্রায়েলে ইস্রায়েলে করা হত, তোমরা অবশ্যই সেগুলি করবে না| আমি তোমাদের কনান দেশে নিয়ে ইস্রায়েলেচ্ছি| ঐ দেশেও ইস্রায়েলে করা হয় তোমরা অবশ্যই সেগুলি করবে না! তাদের রীতিনীতি অনুসরণ করবে না|
Exodus 23:31
“সূফ সাগর থেকে ফরাত্ নদী পর্য়ন্ত সমস্ত জমি তোমাদের দিয়ে দেব| তোমাদের দেশের পশ্চিম সীমান্ত হবে পলেষ্টীয়দের সমুদ্র পর্য়ন্ত| আর পূর্ব দিকের সীমান্ত হবে আরব দেশের মরুভূমি| এই সীমানার মধ্যে বসবাসকারী প্রত্যেককে আমি তোমাদের দিয়েই পরাজিত করে তাড়িয়ে ছাড়ব|
