“আমি যখন ঐ শিংগুলিকে কাছ থেকে দেখছিলাম, ঐ শিংগুলির মধ্যে আরেকটি শিং গজিয়ে উঠল| এই শিংটি ছোট ছিল এবং এতে মানুষের চোখ ছিল| এই শিংটির একটি মুখ ছিল, য়েটি দম্ভ প্রকাশ করে যাচ্ছিল| ওই শিংটি আরও তিনটি শিংকে উপড়ে ফেলল|

“‘উত্তরের রাজা যা চায় তাই করতে পারবে| সে নিজেই নিজের কাজের বড়াই করে বেড়ায়| সে নিজের প্রশংসায় নিজে এতোই অন্ধ য়ে নিজেকে সে ঈশ্বরের থেকেও বড় মনে করে| সে যা বলে তা আর কেউ কোনদিন শোনেনি| সে ঈশ্বর সম্পর্কে যা তা বলে বেড়ায়| যতক্ষণ পর্য়ন্ত না ঈশ্বর স্থির করবেন য়ে এই ভয়ানক সময় শেষ হবে, উত্তরের রাজা এ ব্যাপারে সফল হবেন| কারণ কি ঘটতে যাচ্ছে তা ঈশ্বর পূর্বেই পরিকল্পনা করে রেখেছেন|

“ওই রাজ্যগুলির শেষ সময় এক জন কঠোর ও নির্দয রাজা আসবে য়ে হবে ভীষণ ধূর্ত| এটা ঘটবে যখন ওখানে অনেক অনেক পাপী লোক হবে|

এবং আমি ঐ চতুর্থ জন্তুটির মাথার দশটি শিং-এর কথা জানতে চেয়েছিলাম| আমি ঐ ছোট শিংটির ব্যাপারে জানতে চেয়ে ছিলাম য়েটি পরে গজিযে উঠেছিল এবং তিনটি শিংকে উপড়ে ফেলেছিল| এই ছোট শিংটির চক্ষুসমূহ ছিল এবং একটি মুখ ছিল য়েটি সারাক্ষণ দম্ভ প্রকাশ করত| এটি অন্যদের চেয়ে ভয়ঙ্কর দেখতে ছিল|

আর দম্ভ করো না| গর্বের শব্দ যেন উচ্চারিত না হয় কারণ প্রভু ঈশ্বর সবই জানেন| ঈশ্বরই লোকদের চালনা ও বিচার করেন|
