Acts 16:13
বিশ্রামবারে আমরা শহরের ফটকের বাইরে নদীর ধারে গেলাম, মনে করলাম সেখানে নিশ্চয়ই কোন প্রার্থনার জায়গা আছে৷ আর সেখানে য়ে সব স্ত্রীলোক সমবেত হয়েছিলেন, আমরা তাদের সঙ্গে কথা বলতে শুরু করলাম৷

কিন্তু সেখানে থাকার সময় শেষ হলে আমরা রওনা দিলাম এবং যাত্রাপথে এগিয়ে চললাম৷ সেখানকার খ্রীষ্টানুসারীরা সকলে নিজেদের পরিবার ও ছেলে-মেয়েদের সাথে করে নিয়ে এসে আমাদের বিদায় জানাতে শহরের বাইরে এলেন৷ সেখানে সমুদ্রতীরে আমরা হাঁটু গেড়ে বসে প্রার্থনা করে পরস্পরের কাছ থেকে বিদায় নিলাম৷

রবিবার আমরা যখন আবার প্রভুর ভোজ গ্রহণ করতে একত্রিত হলাম তখন পৌল পরের দিন সেখান থেকে চলে যাবেন বলে মধ্যরাত্রি পর্যন্ত তাদের সাথে কথা বলতে থাকলেন৷

প্রতি বিশ্রামবারে পৌল সমাজ-গৃহে ইহুদী ও গ্রীকদের সঙ্গে কথা বলতেন৷ পৌল চেষ্টা করতেন য়েন এইসব লোকেরা যীশুতে বিশ্বাসী হয়৷
Acts 17:2
পৌল তাঁর রীতি অনুযায়ী ইহুদীদের দেখার জন্য একটি সমাজ-গৃহে গেলেন৷ তিনটি বিশ্রামবারে তিনি তাদের সঙ্গে শাস্ত্র নিয়ে আলোচনা করলেন৷

পৌল ও তাঁর সঙ্গীরা ফরুগিয়া ও গালাতিয়ায় গেলেন, কারণ এশিয়ায় সুসমাচার প্রচার করার বিষয়ে পবিত্র আত্মা তাঁদের অনুমতি দিলেন না৷

পৌল ও বার্ণবা যখন সমাজ-গৃহ থেকে চলে যাচ্ছেন, তখন লোকেরা অনুরোধ করল য়েন পরের বিশ্রামবারে তারা আরো বিস্তারিতভাবে ঐসব কথা তাদের জানান৷

খুব ভোরে তিনি আবার মন্দিরে ফিরে গেলে লোকেরা আবার তাঁর কাছে এসে জড়ো হল, তখন তিনি সেখানে বসে তাদের কাছে শিক্ষা দিতে শুরু করলেন৷
