पপ্রত্যাদেশ 18:1
এইসব ঘটনার পর আমি আর একজন স্বর্গদূতকে স্বর্গ থেকে নেমে আসতে দেখলাম৷ তিনি মহাপরাক্রান্ত স্বর্গদূত, তাঁর জ্যোতি সমস্ত পৃথিবীকে আলোকিত করে তুলল৷

“কিন্তু 70 বছর পূর্ণ হবার পর বাবিলের রাজাকেও আমি শাস্তি দেব| শাস্তি দেব সমগ্র বাবিলবাসীকে তাদের পাপের জন্য|” এই হল প্রভুর বার্তা | “বাবিলও শূন্য মরুভূমিতে পরিণত হবে|
ইসাইয়া 47:1
“পড়ে যাও আবর্জনায এবং সেখানেই বসে পড়! কল্দীযদের (বাবিলের অপর নাম) কুমারী কন্যা| কন্যা বসে পড় মাটিতে| তুমি এখন আর শাসক নও! লোকরা তোমাকে কোমলা ক্ষীণকাযা যুবতী মহিলা বলে মনে করবে না|
