তারপর নবূখদ্নিত্‌সর তাঁর সব চেয়ে শক্তিশালী সৈন্যদের কয়েক জনকে শদ্রক, মৈশক ও অবেদ্-নগোকে বেঁধে ফেলে তাদের অগ্নিকুণ্ডের মধ্যে ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দিতে আদেশ দিলেন|
