অনেক কষ্ট, মনো বেদনা ও চোখের জলের মধ্যে দিয়ে সেই চিঠি তোমাদের লিখেছিলাম৷ আমি তোমাদের ব্যথা দিতে চাই নি; কিন্তু বোঝাতে চেয়েছিলাম য়ে আমি তোমাদের কতো ভালবাসি৷

আমার যা কিছু আছে সে সবই তোমাদের অতি আনন্দের সঙ্গে দেব, এমন কি তোমাদের জন্য আমি নিজেকেও ব্যয় করব৷ তোমাদের জন্য আমার ভালবাসা যখন বেড়েই চলেছে, তখন আমার প্রতি তোমাদের ভালবাসা কি কমে যাবে?
