এলির পুত্রবধূ অর্থাত্‌ পীনহসের স্ত্রী গর্ভবতী ছিল| তার সন্তান প্রসবের সময় হয়ে এসেছিল| সে জানতে পারল ঈশ্বরের পবিত্র সিন্দূক বেহাত হয়ে গেছে| আরও শুনলো তাঁর শ্বশুর এলি আর স্বামী পীনহসও বেঁচে নেই| খবর শোনার সঙ্গে সঙ্গেই তার প্রসব যন্ত্রণা শুরু হল, সন্তান ভূমিষ্ঠ হল|

And his daughter in law, Phinehas' wife, was with child, near to be delivered: and when she heard the tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her.
