1 Samuel 11
1 প্রায একমাস পর অম্মোনদের রাজা নাহশ তার সৈন্যসামন্ত নিয়ে যাবেশ গিলিয়দ ঘিরে ফেলল| যাবেশের লোকেরা নাহশকে বলল, “যদি আমাদের সঙ্গে তুমি একটি শান্তি চুক্তি কর তাহলে আমরা তোমার সেবা করব|”
2 নাহশ বলল, “তোমাদের প্রত্যেকের ডান চোখ যদি উপড়ে নিয়ে নিতে পারি তাহলেই তোমাদের সঙ্গে চুক্তি করতে পারি| তবেই সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীয়রা লজ্জা পাবে!”
3 যাবেশের নেতারা বলল, “সাতদিন সময় দাও| সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলে আমরা দূত পাঠাব| যদি কেউ সাহায্য করতে না আসে তাহলে আমরা তোমার কাছে এসে আত্মসমর্পণ করব|”
4 বার্তাবাহকরা গিবিয়ায় এল; সেখানেই শৌল থাকত| তারা লোকদের খবরটি জানালে লোকরা কেঁদে উঠল|
5 শৌল তখন মাঠে গরু চরাতে গিয়েছিল| মাঠ থেকে ফিরে সে তাদের কান্না শুনতে পেল| সে জিজ্ঞেস করল, “তোমাদের কি হয়েছে? তোমরা কাঁদছ কেন?”তারা শৌলকে যাবেশের বার্তাবাহকরা কি বলেছিল তা বলল|
6 শৌল সব শুনল| তারপর ঈশ্বরের আত্মা সবলে তার ওপর এল| সে খুব রেগে গেল|
7 এক জোড়া বলদ নিয়ে সে তাদের কেটে টুকরো টুকরো করল| তারপর সে বার্তাবাহকদের হাতে সেই বলদের টুকরোগুলো দিয়ে তাদের সেই টুকরোগুলি নিয়ে সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলে ঘুরতে বলল| ইস্রাযেলবাসীদের কাছে বার্তাবাহকরা কি বলবে তাও সে বলে দিল| এই ছিল তার বাণী: “তোমরা সকলে শৌল এবং শমূয়েলকে অনুসরণ কর| যদি কেউ তাদের সাহায্য না করে তবে তাদের বলদের অবস্থা হবে এই টুকরোর মতো!”লোকদের মনে প্রভুর প্রতি মহা ভয় এলো এবং তারা সবাই মিলে একটি মানুষের একতা নিয়ে বের হয়ে এল|
8 শৌল বেষকে সকলকে একত্র করল| ইস্রাযেল থেকে এসেছিল 3,00,000 লোক, যিহূদা থেকে 30,000 জন|
9 শৌল এবং তার সৈন্যরা যাবেশের বার্তাবাহকদের বলল, “গিলিয়দে যাবেশের যত লোক আছে তাদের গিয়ে বল, কাল দুপুরের মধ্যেই তোমাদের রক্ষা করা হবে|”শৌলের বাণী বার্তাবাহকরা যাবেশের লোকদের শোনাল| শুনে তারা খুব খুশী হল|
10 তারপর তারা অম্মোনের রাজা নাহশকে বলল, “আমরা কাল তোমার কাছে আসব| তখন তুমি আমাদের নিয়ে যা চাও তাই করবে|”
11 পরদিন সকালে শৌল তাঁর সৈন্যদের তিনটে দলে ভাগ করলেন| সূর্য় উঠলে শৌল সসৈন্যে অম্মোনদের শিবির আক্রমণ করল| সেই সময় ওদের প্রহরীরা পালাবদল করছিল| দুপুরের আগেই শৌল অম্মোনদের পরাজিত করল| অম্মোন সৈন্যরা ছত্রভঙ্গ হয়ে যে যেদিকে পারল পালিয়ে গেল| সবাই একা হয়ে ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে গেল|
12 তারপর লোকরা শমূয়েলকে বলল, “কোথায় গেল সেইসব লোক যারা বলেছিল শৌলকে রাজা হিসেবে আমরা চাই না? তাদের ডেকে নিয়ে এসো, আমরা তাদের হত্যা করব!”
13 কিন্তু শৌল বলল, “না আজ কাউকে হত্যা কোরো না| প্রভু আজ ইস্রাযেলকে রক্ষা করেছেন!”
14 তারপর শমূয়েল লোকদের বলল, “চলো, আমরা গিল্গলে যাই| গিল্গলে গিয়ে আমরা আবার শৌলকে রাজা করব|”
15 সকলে গিল্গলে গেল| সেখানে প্রভুর সামনে তারা শৌলকে রাজা হিসেবে ঘোষণা করল| তারা প্রভুকে মঙ্গল নৈবেদ্য উত্সর্গ করল| শৌল ও ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত লোক মহা আনন্দের সঙ্গে অনুষ্ঠান করল|
1 Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabesh-gilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee.
2 And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this condition will I make a covenant with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it for a reproach upon all Israel.
3 And the elders of Jabesh said unto him, Give us seven days’ respite, that we may send messengers unto all the coasts of Israel: and then, if there be no man to save us, we will come out to thee.
4 Then came the messengers to Gibeah of Saul, and told the tidings in the ears of the people: and all the people lifted up their voices, and wept.
5 And, behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field; and Saul said, What aileth the people that they weep? And they told him the tidings of the men of Jabesh.
6 And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly.
7 And he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever cometh not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the fear of the Lord fell on the people, and they came out with one consent.
8 And when he numbered them in Bezek, the children of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah thirty thousand.
9 And they said unto the messengers that came, Thus shall ye say unto the men of Jabesh-gilead, To morrow, by that time the sun be hot, ye shall have help. And the messengers came and shewed it to the men of Jabesh; and they were glad.
10 Therefore the men of Jabesh said, To morrow we will come out unto you, and ye shall do with us all that seemeth good unto you.
11 And it was so on the morrow, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered, so that two of them were not left together.
12 And the people said unto Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? bring the men, that we may put them to death.
13 And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day: for to day the Lord hath wrought salvation in Israel.
14 Then said Samuel to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there.
15 And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the Lord in Gilgal; and there they sacrificed sacrifices of peace offerings before the Lord; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.

1 म तिमीहरूलाई हाम्री बहिनी फिबीसँग परिचित गराउन चाहन्छु। उनी सक्रिय मण्डलीकी सेविका हुन्।
I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:
2 परमप्रभुका मानिसहरूलाई सुहाउँदो हिसाबले उनलाई प्रभुको नाउँमा उनले चाहेका कुरामा जसरी भए पनि सघाऊ। उनले मलाई खुबै सहयोग गरेकी छन् र उनले अरूहरूलाई पनि धेरै सघाएकीछन्।
That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.
3 प्रिस्कीला र अक्वीलालाई नमस्कार गर। ख्रीष्ट येशूमा तिनीहरूले मसँगै काम गर्छन्।
Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:
4 तिनीहरूले मेरो जीवन बचाउन आफ्ना जीवन पनि जोखिममा हालेका थिए। म तिनीहरूलाई धन्यवाद दिंन्छु र गैर-यहूदीहरूका सबै मण्डलीहरू पनि कृतज्ञ छन्।
Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.
5 अनि उनीहरूका घरमा भेला हुने मण्डलीलाई पनि नमस्कार।मेरा प्रिय मित्र इपेनितसलाई नमस्कार। एशियामा ख्रीष्टलाई मान्ने उनी प्रथम मानिस हुन्।
Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
6 मरियमलाई पनि नमस्कार। उनले तिमीहरूका लागि कठिन काम गरेकी छन्।
Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.

8 परमप्रभुको नाउँमा एमप्लिआतसलाई नमस्कार।

9 उर्बानसलाई नमस्कार। उनी ख्रीष्टका एक सह-सेवक हुन्। मेरा प्रिय मित्र स्ताकिसलाई पनि नमस्कार।
Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.
10 अपोल्लासलाई पनि नमस्कार। उनी ख्रीष्टका साँचो विश्वासीको रूपमा जाँचिएका थिए र प्रमाणित पनि भए। अरिस्तोबलस परिवारका सबै सदस्यहरूलाई नमस्कार।
Salute Apelles approved in Christ. Salute them which are of Aristobulus’ household.
11 हेरोदियनलाई नमस्कार, उनी मेरा कुटुम्ब हुन्। र्नसिसस परिवारलाई पनि नमस्कार जो प्रभूमा छन्।
Salute Herodion my kinsman. Greet them that be of the household of Narcissus, which are in the Lord.
12 त्रिफेना र त्रिफोसालाई पनि नमस्कार। ती नारीहरू प्रभुमा खुबै खटेका छन्। मेरा प्रिय मित्र परसीसलाई पनि नमस्कार। उनी पनि प्रभुमा खुब खटिन्।
Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.
13 रूफसलाई पनि नमस्कार। उनी प्रभुमा विशेष मानिस हुन्। उनकी आमालाई पनि नमस्कार। उनी मेरी पनि आमा हुन्।
Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.
14 असिंक्रितस, पलेगन, हर्मस, पत्रोबास अनि ख्रीष्टमा भएका सबै दाज्यु-भाइ दिदी-बहिनीहरूलाई पनि नमस्कार।
Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren which are with them.
15 फिलोलोगस र जुलिया, नेरियस र उनकी बहिनी ओलिम्पासलाई नमस्कार। अनि उनीहरूसँग भएका सबै विश्वासीहरूलाई नमस्कार।
Salute Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints which are with them.
16 जब तिमीहरू भेट हुन्छौ एक अर्कालाई, पवित्र चुम्बनद्वारा अभिवादन गर। ख्रीष्टका सम्पूर्ण मण्डलीहरू तिमीहरूलाई अभिवादन चढाउँछन्।
Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.
17 दाज्यू-भाइहरू र दिदी-बहिनीहरू, परस्परमा फूट ल्याउनेहरूसँग होशियार बस। अरूहरूको विश्वासमा बाधा ल्याउनेहरूसँग पनि होशियार बस। तिमीहरूले पाएको शिक्षाको उल्टो तिनीहरूले सिकाउँछन्। ती मानिसहरूबाट अलग बस।
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18 त्यस किसिमका मानिसहरूले हाम्रा प्रभु ख्रीष्टको सेवा गर्दैनन्। तिनीहरू आफ्नै खाँचोको निम्ति मात्र काम गर्दछन्। सीधा-साधाहरूलाई ती आफ्ना चिप्लो कुरा र खुशामदीले मूर्ख बनाउँदछन्।
For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
19 सबै विश्वासीहरू जान्दछन् कि तिमीहरूले परमेश्वरको आज्ञा पालन गर्दछौ। त्यही कारणले गर्दा म तिमीहरूसँग अत्यन्त खुशी छु। तर म चाहन्छु असल कुरामा तिमीहरू बुद्धिमानी बनिनुपर्छ। अनि दुष्ट कुरामा तिमीहरू अबोध बनिनुपर्छ भन्ने म चाहन्छु।
For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
20 परमेश्वर जसले शान्ति ल्याउनु हुन्छ उहाँले शैतानलाई चाँडै हराउनु हुनेछ र उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई त्यसमाथि शक्ति प्रदान गर्नु हुनेछ। हाम्रा प्रभु येशूको अनुग्रह तिमीहरूलाई होस्।
And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
21 तिमोथी, मेरा सहकर्मीले तिमीहरूलाई नमस्कार चढाउँदछन्। लुसियस, यासोन, अनि सोसिपेटरले (जो मेरा आफन्तहरू हुन्) पनि तिमीहरूलाई नमस्कार पठाउँदछन्।

25 परमेश्वरको महिमा होस्। परमेश्वरले मात्र तिमीहरूका विश्वासलाई बलियो पार्न सक्नु हुन्छ। उहाँले सुसमाचारको प्रयोग गर्नुसक्नु हुन्छ जुन म तिमीहरूको विश्वास दरिलो बनाउन प्रचार गर्दछु। त्यो सुसमाचार जुन म प्रचार गर्छु त्यो येशू ख्रीष्टको बारेमा छ।
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
26 त्यो सुसमाचार गुप्त-सत्य जुन परमेश्वरले प्रकट गर्नुभयो। अनि त्यो गुप्त-सत्य अगमवक्ताहरूका लेखाईद्वारा हामीलाई ज्ञान गराइएकोछ। अनन्त परमेश्वरको आज्ञाले यो गुप्त-सत्य गैर-यहूदीहरूलाई ज्ञान गराइयो। यसले आज्ञाकारिता उत्पन्न गर्छ जुन विश्वासबाट आउँदछ।
But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
27 येशू ख्रीष्ट मार्फत एक मात्र सर्वज्ञानी परमेश्वरको महिमा होस्। आमिन।
To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.
