17 প্রভু যাকে য়ে দাযিত্ব দিয়েছেন, আর ঈশ্বর যাকে য়েমন আহ্বান করেছেন, সে সেইভাবে জীবনযাপন করুক৷ এই আদেশ আমি সব মণ্ডলীতে দিচ্ছি৷
18 কাউকে কি সুন্নত হওয়া অবস্থায় আহ্বান করা হয়েছে? সে য়েন সুন্নতকে বাতিল না করে৷ কাউকে কি অসুন্নত অবস্থায় আহ্বান করা হয়েছে? তার সুন্নত হওয়ার প্রযোজন নেই৷
19 সুন্নত হোক বা না হোক, তা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নয়, ঈশ্বরের আদেশ পালনই হল গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়৷
20 ঈশ্বর যাকে য়ে অবস্থায় আহ্বান করেছেন, সে সেই অবস্থাতেই থাকুক৷
21 যখন তোমাকে আহ্বান করা হয়েছিল, তখন কি তুমি দাস ছিলে? এই অবস্থায় তোমার য়েন দুঃখ না হয়; কিন্তু তুমি যদি স্বাধীন হতে পার, তবে তার সুয়োগ গ্রহণ কর৷
22 দাস অবস্থায় প্রভু যাকে আহ্বান করেছেন, সে প্রভুর স্বাধীন লোক৷ য়ে স্বাধীন অবস্থায় খ্রীষ্টের ডাক শুনেছে, সে প্রভুর দাসে পরিণত হয়েছে৷
23 মূল্য দিয়ে তোমাদের কেনা হয়েছে৷ তোমরা সামান্য মানুষের দাসত্ব করো না৷
24 ভাই ও বোনেরা, ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে নতুন জীবন পাবার সময় তোমরা য়ে য়েমন অবস্থায় ছিলে এখন সেই অবস্থাতেই ঈশ্বরের সঙ্গে থাক৷
17 But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
18 Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
21 Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant.
23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

18 কাউকে কি সুন্নত হওয়া অবস্থায় আহ্বান করা হয়েছে? সে য়েন সুন্নতকে বাতিল না করে৷ কাউকে কি অসুন্নত অবস্থায় আহ্বান করা হয়েছে? তার সুন্নত হওয়ার প্রযোজন নেই৷
Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
19 সুন্নত হোক বা না হোক, তা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নয়, ঈশ্বরের আদেশ পালনই হল গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়৷
Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
20 ঈশ্বর যাকে য়ে অবস্থায় আহ্বান করেছেন, সে সেই অবস্থাতেই থাকুক৷
Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
21 যখন তোমাকে আহ্বান করা হয়েছিল, তখন কি তুমি দাস ছিলে? এই অবস্থায় তোমার য়েন দুঃখ না হয়; কিন্তু তুমি যদি স্বাধীন হতে পার, তবে তার সুয়োগ গ্রহণ কর৷
Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
22 দাস অবস্থায় প্রভু যাকে আহ্বান করেছেন, সে প্রভুর স্বাধীন লোক৷ য়ে স্বাধীন অবস্থায় খ্রীষ্টের ডাক শুনেছে, সে প্রভুর দাসে পরিণত হয়েছে৷
For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant.
23 মূল্য দিয়ে তোমাদের কেনা হয়েছে৷ তোমরা সামান্য মানুষের দাসত্ব করো না৷
Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
24 ভাই ও বোনেরা, ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে নতুন জীবন পাবার সময় তোমরা য়ে য়েমন অবস্থায় ছিলে এখন সেই অবস্থাতেই ঈশ্বরের সঙ্গে থাক৷
Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.
