ஆமோஸ் 2
1 கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: மோவாபின் மூன்று பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நாலு பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நான் அவன் ஆக்கினையைத் திருப்பமாட்டேன்; அவன் ஏதோமுடைய ராஜாவின் எலும்புகளை நீறாகச் சுட்டுப்போட்டானே.
2 மோவாப்தேசத்தில் தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது கீரியாத்தின் அரமனைகளைப் பட்சிக்கும்; மோவாபியர் அமளியோடும் ஆர்ப்பரிப்போடும் எக்காள சத்தத்தோடும் சாவார்கள்.
3 நியாயாதிபதியை அவர்கள் நடுவில் இராதபடிக்கு நான் சங்காரம்பண்ணி, அவனோடே அவர்களுடைய பிரபுக்களையெல்லாம் கொன்றுபோடுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
1 Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:
2 But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:
3 And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the Lord.

6 கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: காத்சாவினுடைய மூன்று பாதங்களினிமித்தமும், நாலு பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நான் அதின் ஆக்கினையைத் திருப்பமாட்டேன்; அவர்கள் சிறைப்பட்டவர்களை ஏதோமியரிடத்தில் ஒப்புவிக்கும்படி முழுதும் சிறையாக்கினார்களே.
Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:
7 காத்சாவின் மதிலுக்குள் தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது அதினுடைய அரமனைகளைப் பட்சிக்கும.
But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:
8 நான் குடிகளை அஸ்தோத்திலும், செங்கோல் செலுத்துகிறவனை அஸ்கலோனிலும் இராதபடிக்குச் சங்காரம்பண்ணி, பெலிஸ்தரில் மீதியானவர்கள் அழியும்படிக்கு என் கையை எனக்கு விரோதமாகத திருப்புவேனென்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord God.
