அக்கூட்டத்தில் சிலர் சதுசேயராகவும், சிலர் பரிசேயராகவும் இருந்தார்கள். எனவே பவுலுக்கு ஒரு யோசனை ஏற்பட்டது. அவன் அவர்களிடம் உரக்க, “எனது சகோதரரே, நான் ஒரு பரிசேயன். எனது தந்தையும் ஒரு பரிசேயர். மரணத்திலிருந்து மக்கள் எழுவர் என்று நான் நம்புவதால் என்னை இங்கு நியாயந்தீர்க்கின்றனர்!” என்றான்.
