அப்பொழுது கிதியோன் அவர்களை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் சேபாவையும் சல்முனாவையும் என்னுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்போது, உங்கள் சரீரத்தை வனாந்திரத்தின் நெரிஞ்சில்முட்களால் கிழித்துவிடுவேன் என்று சொல்லி,

அப்போது கிதியோன், “நீங்கள் எங்களுக்கு உணவு தரமாட்டீர்கள். சேபாவையும் சல்முனாவையும் பிடிப்பதற்கு கர்த்தர் எனக்கு உதவுவார். அதன் பின்னர் நான் மீண்டும் இங்கு வருவேன். அப்போது பாலை வனத்திலுள்ள முட்களாலும் நெருஞ்சிகளாலும் அடித்து உங்கள் தோலைக் கிழித்துவிடுவேன்” என்றான்.
