அவர்களெβ்லாரும் தங்கள் பரிபூரணத்திலிருந்தெடுத்துத் தேவனுக்கென்று காணிக்கை போட்டார்கள்; இவளோ தன்வறுமையிலிருந்து தன் ஜீவனத்துக்கு உண்டாயிருந்ததெல்லாம் போட்டு விட்டாள் என்றார்.

அவர்களெல்லோரும் தங்களுடைய நிறைவிலிருந்தெடுத்து தேவனுக்கென்று காணிக்கை போட்டார்கள்; இவளோ தன் வறுமையிலிருந்து தான் வாழ்வதற்காக வைத்திருந்த எல்லாவற்றையும் போட்டுவிட்டாள் என்றார்.

செல்வந்தர்களிடம் மிகுதியான செல்வம் இருக்கிறது. அவர்களுக்குத் தேவையற்ற செல்வத்தையே அவர்கள் கொடுத்தார்கள். இந்தப் பெண்ணோ மிகவும் ஏழை. ஆனால் அவளுக்கிருந்த எல்லாவற்றையும் அவள் கொடுத்தாள். அவள் வாழ்க்கைக்கு அந்தப் பணம் தேவையாக இருந்தது” என்றார்.
