இரண்டு நாளைக்குப்பின்பு புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பஞ்சாப்பிடுகிற பஸ்காபண்டிகை வந்தது. அப்பொழுது பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் வேதபாரகரும், அவரைத் தந்திரமாய்ப் பிடித்துக் கொலைசெய்யும்படி வகைதேடினார்கள்.

ஆபிப் மாதத்தைக் கவனித்திருந்து, அதில் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பஸ்காவை ஆசரிக்கக்கடவாய்; ஆபிப்மாதத்திலே இராக்காலத்தில் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணினாரே.

முதலாம் மாதம் பதினாலாம் தேதி கர்த்தருக்கு உரிய பஸ்கா.

ஜாதிகள் கொந்தளித்து, ஜனங்கள் விருதாக்காரியத்தைச் சிந்திப்பானேன்?

நன்மையைப்பார்க்கிலும் தீமையையும், யதார்த்தம் பேசுகிறதைப்பார்க்கிலும் பொய்யையும் விரும்புகிறாய். (சேலா.)

அவனுடைய மேன்மையிலிருந்து அவனைத் தள்ளும்படிக்கே அவர்கள் ஆலோசனைபண்ணி, அபத்தம்பேச விரும்புகிறார்கள்; தங்கள் வாயினால் ஆசீர்வதித்து, தங்கள் உள்ளத்தில் சபிக்கிறார்கள். (சேலா.)

கீழ்மக்கள் மாயையும், மேன்மக்கள் பொய்யுமாமே; தராசிலே வைக்கப்பட்டால் அவர்களெல்லாரும் மாயையிலும் லேசானவர்கள்.

துன்மார்க்கர் செய்யும் இரகசிய ஆலோசனைக்கும் அக்கிரமக்காரருடைய கலகத்துக்கும் என்னை விலக்கி மறைத்தருளும்.

இரண்டு நாளைக்குப்பின்பு பஸ்காபண்டிகை வருமென்று அறிவீர்கள்; அப்பொழுது, மனுஷகுமாரன் சிலுவையில் அறையப்படுவதற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவார் என்றார்.
