தானியேலோவென்றால், அந்தப் பத்திரத்துக்குக் கையெழுத்து வைக்கப்பட்டதென்று அறிந்தபோதிலும், தன் வீட்டுக்குள்ளேபோய், தன் மேலறையிலே எருசலேமுக்கு நேராக பலகணிகள் திறந்திருக்க, அங்கே தான் முன் செய்துவந்தபடியே தினம் மூன்று வேளையும் தன் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக முழங்காற்படியிட்டு ஜெபம்பண்ணி, ஸ்தோத்திரம் செலுத்தினான்.

தானியேல் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் தேவனிடம் மூன்றுமுறை ஜெபம் செய்வான். தானியேல் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் மூன்றுமுறை முழங்காலில் நின்று தேவனிடம் ஜெபித்து அவரைப் போற்றுவான். தானியேல் இப்புதிய சட்டத்தைக் கேள்விப்பட்டதும் தனது வீட்டிற்குப் போய் தனது அறையில் உள்ள மாடியின்மீது ஏறினான். தானியேல் எருசலேமை நோக்கியிருக்கிற ஜன்னல் அருகில் போய் முழங்காலிட்டு எப்பொழுதும் செய்வதுபோன்று ஜெபித்தான்.
