மூன்றாம் நாளில் அவர்களுக்கு நோவெடுத்துக்கொண்டபோது, யாக்கோபின் குமாரரும் தீனாளின் சகோதரருமான சிமியோன் லேவி என்ற இவ்விரண்டு பேரும் தன்தன் பட்டயத்தை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, துணிகரமாய்ப் பட்டணத்தில்மேல் பாய்ந்து, ஆண்மக்கள் யாவரையும் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள்.
