எப்ரோனிலிருக்கிற தாவீதினிடத்தில் இஸ்போசேத்தின் தலையைக் கொண்டு வந்து, ராஜாவை நோக்கி: இதோ உம்முடைய சத்துருவாயிருந்த சவுலின் குமாரனாகிய இஸ்போசேத்தின் தலை; இன்றைய தினம் கர்த்தர் ராஜாவாகிய எங்கள் ஆண்டவனுக்காகச் சவுலின் கையிலும் அவன் குடும்பத்தாரின் கையிலும் பழிவாங்கினார் என்றார்கள்.

எப்ரோனிலிருக்கிற தாவீதிடம் இஸ்போசேத்தின் தலையைக்கொண்டுவந்து, ராஜாவை நோக்கி: இதோ, உம்முடைய உயிரை வாங்கத்தேடின உம்முடைய எதிரியாக இருந்த சவுலின் மகனான இஸ்போசேத்தின் தலை; இன்றையதினம் கர்த்தர் ராஜாவான எங்களுடைய ஆண்டவனுக்காகச் சவுலின் கையிலும் அவனுடைய குடும்பத்தார்களின் கையிலும் பழிவாங்கினார் என்றார்கள்.

அவர்கள் எப்ரோனை வந்தடைந்தனர். இஸ்போசேத்தின் தலையை தாவீதிடம் கொடுத்தனர். ரிம்மோனின் பிள்ளைகளாகிய ரேகாபும் பானாவும் தாவீது அரசனை நோக்கி, “இதோ உம்மைக் கொல்ல முயன்ற உமது பகைவனாகிய சவுலின் மகன் இஸ்போசேத்தின் தலை, உமக்காக இன்று கர்த்தர் சவுலையும் அவனது குடும்பத்தாரையும் தண்டித்துள்ளார்” என்றனர்.

இஸ்பொசேத்தின் தலையை எபிரோனில் இருந்த தாவீதிடம் கொண்டு வந்தார்கள். “உமது உயிரைப் பறிக்கத் தேடிய உம் எதிரி சவுலின் மகன் இஸ்பொசேத்தின் தலை இதோ! ஆண்டவர் எம் தலைவராம் அரசர் சார்பாக சவுலையும் அவனுடைய வாரிசையும் பழிவாங்கிவிட்டார்” என்று அவர்கள் கூறினார்கள்.⒫
