2 Samuel 10 in Tamil

1 அதன்பின்பு அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் ராஜா மரித்துப்போனான்; அவன் குமாரனாகிய ஆனூன் அவன் பட்டத்திற்கு ராஜாவானான். And it came to pass after this, that the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his stead.

2 அப்பொழுது தாவீது: ஆனூனின் தகப்பனாகிய நாகாஸ் எனக்குத் தயவுசெய்ததுபோல, அவன் குமாரனாகிய இவனுக்கு நான் தயைசெய்வேன் என்று சொல்லி, அவன் தகப்பனுக்காக அவனுக்கு ஆறுதல் சொல்ல, தன் ஊழியக்காரரை அனுப்பினான்; தாவீதின் ஊழியக்காரர் அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் தேசத்திலே வந்தபோது, Then said David, I will show kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.

And the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, Thinkest thou that David doth honor thy father, that he hath sent comforters unto thee? hath not David rather sent his servants unto thee, to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?

4 அப்பொழுது ஆனூன்: தாவீதின் ஊழியக்காரரைப் பிடித்து, அவர்களுடைய ஒருபக்கத்துத் தாடியைச் சிரைத்து, அவர்களுடைய வஸ்திரங்களை இருப்பிடமட்டும் வைத்துவிட்டு மற்றப்பாதியைக் கத்தரித்துப்போட்டு, அவர்களை அனுப்பிவிட்டான். Wherefore Hanun took David's servants, and shaved off the one half of their beards, and cut off their garments in the middle, even to their buttocks, and sent them away.

And when the children of Ammon saw that they stank before David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Bethrehob and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand footmen, and of king Maacah a thousand men, and of Ishtob twelve thousand men.

7 அதை தாவீது கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, யோவாபையும் பராக்கிரமசாலிகளாகிய, சமஸ்த இராணுவத்தையும் அனுப்பினான். And when David heard of it, he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty men.

8 அம்மோன் புத்திரர் புறப்பட்டு, ஒலிமுகவாசலண்டையிலே போர்செய்ய அணிவகுத்து நின்றார்கள்; ஆனாலும் சோபாவிலும் ரேகோபிலுமிருந்துவந்த சீரியரும், இஷ்தோபிலும், மாக்காவிலுமிருந்து வந்த மனுஷரும், வெளியிலே பிரத்தியேகமாயிருந்தார்கள். And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the entering in of the gate: and the Syrians of Zoba, and of Rehob, and Ishtob, and Maacah, were by themselves in the field.

12 தைரியமாயிரு; நம்முடைய ஜனத்திற்காகவும், நம்முடைய தேவனுடைய பட்டணங்களுக்காகவும் சவுரியத்தைக் காட்டுவோம்; கர்த்தர் தமது பார்வைக்கு நலமானதைச் செய்வாராக என்றான். Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.

13 யோவாபும் அவனோடிருந்த ஜனமும் சீரியர்மேல் யுத்தம்பண்ணக் கிட்டினார்கள்; அவர்கள் அவனுக்கு முன்பாக முறிந்தோடினார்கள். And Joab drew nigh, and the people that were with him, unto the battle against the Syrians: and they fled before him.

14 சீரியர் முறிந்தோடுகிறதை அம்மோன் புத்திரர் கண்டபோது, அவர்களும் அபிசாயிக்கு முன்பாக முறிந்தோடிப் பட்டணத்திற்குள் புகுந்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது யோவாப் அம்மோன் புத்திரரைவிட்டுத் திரும்பி எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தான். And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.

And the Syrians set themselves in array against David, and fought with him.

And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.

19 அப்பொழுது ஆதாரேசரைச் சேவிக்கிற சகல ராஜாக்களும் தாங்கள் இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு முன்பாக முறிய அடிக்கப்பட்டதைக் கண்டு, இஸ்ரவேலரோடே சήாதானம்பΣ்ணி, அவர்களைச் சேவித்தார்கள். அப்புறம் அம்மோன் புத்திரருக்கு உதவிசெய்ய சீரியர் பயப்பட்டார்கள். And when all the kings that were servants to Hadarezer saw that they were smitten before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.

1 Athanpinpu ammon puththirarin raajaa mariththupponaan; avan kumaaranaakiya aanoon avan pattaththirku raajaavaanaan. And it came to pass after this, that the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his stead.

2 Appoluthu David: aanoonin thakappanaakiya naakaas enakkuth thayavuseythathupola, avan kumaaranaakiya ivanukku naan thayaiseyvaen entu solli, avan thakappanukkaaka avanukku aaraுthal solla, than ooliyakkaararai anuppinaan; thaaveethin ooliyakkaarar ammon puththirarin thaesaththilae vanthapothu, Then said David, I will show kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.

3 Ammon puththirarin pirapukkal thangal aanndavanaakiya aanoonaip paarththu David aaraுthal sollukiravarkalai ummidaththil anuppinathu, ummutaiya thakappanaik kanampannnukirathaay umakkuth thontukiratho? Inthap pattanaththai aaraaynthu, ulavupaarththu athaik kavilththuppoda allavo David than ooliyakkaararai ummidaththirku anuppinaan entarkal. And the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, Thinkest thou that David doth honor thy father, that he hath sent comforters unto thee? hath not David rather sent his servants unto thee, to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?

4 Appoluthu aanoon: thaaveethin ooliyakkaararaip pitiththu, avarkalutaiya orupakkaththuth thaatiyaich siraiththu, avarkalutaiya vasthirangalai iruppidamattum vaiththuvittu mattappaathiyaik kaththariththuppottu, avarkalai anuppivittan. Wherefore Hanun took David's servants, and shaved off the one half of their beards, and cut off their garments in the middle, even to their buttocks, and sent them away.

5 Athu Davidkku arivikkappattapothu, raajaa, antha manushar mikavum vetkappattapatiyinaal, avarkalukku ethiraaka aatkalai anuppi, ungal thaati valarumattum neengal erikovilirunthu, pirpaadu vaarungal entu sollachchaொnnaan. When they told it unto David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed: and the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.

6 Ammon puththirar thaangal Davidkku aruvaruppaanathaik kanndapothu, sthaanaapathikalai anuppi, pethraekop thaesaththuch seeriyarilum, sopaavilirukkira seeriyarilum irupathinaayiram kaalaatkalaiyum, maakkaathaesaththu raajaavinidaththil aayirampaeraiyum, ishthopilirukkira panneeraayirampaeraiyum koolippataiyaaka alaippiththaarkal. And when the children of Ammon saw that they stank before David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Bethrehob and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand footmen, and of king Maacah a thousand men, and of Ishtob twelve thousand men.

7 Athai David kaelvippattapothu, yovaapaiyum paraakkiramasaalikalaakiya, samastha iraanuvaththaiyum anuppinaan. And when David heard of it, he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty men.

8 Ammon puththirar purappattu, olimukavaasalanntaiyilae porseyya annivakuththu nintarkal; aanaalum sopaavilum raekopilumirunthuvantha seeriyarum, ishthopilum, maakkaavilumirunthu vantha manusharum, veliyilae piraththiyaekamaayirunthaarkal. And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the entering in of the gate: and the Syrians of Zoba, and of Rehob, and Ishtob, and Maacah, were by themselves in the field.

9 Yovaapo iraanuvangalin pataimukam thanakku munnum pinnum irukkirathaik kaannkaiyil, avan isravaelilae therinthukollappatta ellaa iraanuvangalilum oru pangaip piriththeduththu athaich seeriyarukku ethiraaka annivakuththu niraுththi, When Joab saw that the front of the battle was against him before and behind, he chose of all the choice men of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians:

10 Matta janaththai ammon puththirarukku ethiraaka annivakuththu niraுththumpati than sakotharanaakiya apisaayinidaththil oppuviththu: And the rest of the people he delivered into the hand of Abishai his brother, that he might put them in array against the children of Ammon.

11 Seeriyar kaiminjukirathaayirunthaal nee enakku uthaviseyyavaenndum; ammon puththirar kaiminjukirathaayirunthaal naan unakku uthaviseyya varuvaen. And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then thou shalt help me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for thee, then I will come and help thee.

12 Thairiyamaayiru; nammutaiya janaththirkaakavum, nammutaiya thaevanutaiya pattanangalukkaakavum savuriyaththaik kaattuvom; Karththar thamathu paarvaikku nalamaanathaich seyvaaraaka entan. Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.

13 Yovaapum avanotiruntha janamum seeriyarmael yuththampannnak kittinaarkal; avarkal avanukku munpaaka murinthotinaarkal. And Joab drew nigh, and the people that were with him, unto the battle against the Syrians: and they fled before him.

14 Seeriyar murinthodukirathai ammon puththirar kanndapothu, avarkalum apisaayikku munpaaka murinthotip pattanaththirkul pukunthaarkal; appoluthu yovaap ammon puththiraraivittuth thirumpi erusalaemukku vanthaan. And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.

15 Thaangal isravaelukku munpaaka muriya atikkappattathaich seeriyar kanndapothu, orumikkak kootinaarkal. And when the Syrians saw that they were smitten before Israel, they gathered themselves together.

16 Aathaaraesar nathikku appaaliruntha seeriyaraiyum alaiththanuppinaan; avarkal aelaamukku vanthaarkal; aathaaraesarutaiya pataiththalaivanaakiya sopaak avarkalukku munnaalae sentan. And Hadarezer sent, and brought out the Syrians that were beyond the river: and they came to Helam; and Shobach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them.

17 Athu Davidkku arivikkappattapothu, avan isravaelaiyellaam koottikkonndu, yorthaanaik kadanthu, aelaamukkup ponaan; seeriyar Davidkku ethiraaka iraanuvangalai annivakuththu nintarkal; avanodu yuththampannnukirapothu, And when it was told David, he gathered all Israel together, and passed over Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Syrians set themselves in array against David, and fought with him.

18 Seeriyar isravaelukku munpaaka murinthotinaarkal; David seeriyaril elunooraு irathaveeraraiyum naarpathinaayiram kuthiraiveeraraiyum kontu, avarkalutaiya pataiththalaivanaakiya sopaakaiyum saakumpati vettippottan. And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.

19 Appoluthu aathaaraesaraich sevikkira sakala raajaakkalum thaangal isravaelukku munpaaka muriya atikkappattathaik kanndu, isravaelarotae saήாthaanampaΣ்nni, avarkalaich seviththaarkal. Appuram ammon puththirarukku uthaviseyya seeriyar payappattarkal. And when all the kings that were servants to Hadarezer saw that they were smitten before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.
