அவருடைய வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின்படியே நீதி வாசமாயிருக்கும் புதிய வானங்களும் புதிய பூமியும் உண்டாகுமென்று காத்திருக்கிறோம்.

இப்போதும் இன்றைக்கு அதோனியா கொலை செய்யப்படுவான் என்று என்னை உறுதிப்படுத்தினவரும், என்னை என்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் சிங்காசனத்தில் அமர்ந்திருக்கச்செய்து, தாம் சொன்னபடி எனக்கு வீட்டைக் கட்டினவருமாகிய கர்த்தருடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று சொல்லி,

கர்த்தர் என்னை இஸ்ரவேலின் அரசனாக்கினார். என் தந்தை தாவீதிற்கு உரிய சிங்காசனத்தை நான் பெறுமாறு செய்தார். கர்த்தர் தன் வாக்குறுதியைக்காத்து எனக்கும் எனது குடும்பத்திற்கும் ஆட்சியை அளித்தார். நான் கர்த்தர்மேல் ஆணையிட்டுக் கூறுகிறேன். இன்று அதோனியா கொல்லப்படுவான்” என்றான்.
