அப்பொழுது எலிசா: கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள்; நாளை இந்நேரத்தில் சமாரியாவின் வாசலிலே ஒரு மரக்கால் கோதுமை மா ஒரு சேக்கலுக்கும், இரண்டு மரக்கால் வாற்கோதுமை ஒரு சேக்கலுக்கும் விற்கப்படும் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.

எலிசா, “கர்த்தரிடமிருந்து வந்த செய்தியைக் கேளுங்கள்! அவர், ‘நாளை இதே நேரத்தில், உணவு பொருட்கள் மிகுதியாகக் கிடைக்கும். அவற்றின் விலை மலிவாக இருக்கும். சமாரியாவின் வாசல் அருகிலுள்ள சந்தையில் ஒரு மரக்கால் கோதுமை மாவு ஒரு சேக்கலுக்கும் இரண்டு மரக்கால் வாற்கோதுமை ஒரு சேக்கலுக்கும் ஒருவனால் வாங்கமுடியும்’ என்று கூறுகிறார்” என்றான்.
