அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் கல்தேயரின் தண்டுகளையும், சீரியரின் தண்டுகளையும், மோவாபியரின் தண்டுகளையும், அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் தண்டுகளையும், அவன் மேல் வரவிட்டார்; தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகிய தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரைக்கொண்டு கர்த்தர் சொன்ன வார்த்தையின்படியே அவர் அவைகளை யூதாவை அழிக்கும்படிக்கு வரவிட்டார்.

யோயாக்கீமிற்கு எதிராகப் போரிடும் பொருட்டு பாபிலோனியர்களையும் ஆராமியர்களையும் மோவாபியர்களையும் அம்மோனியர்களையும் கர்த்தர் கூட்டம் கூட்டமாக அனுப்பிவைத்தார். யூதாவை அழிப்பதற்காக கர்த்தர் இவ்வாறு அனுப்பினார். இது கர்த்தர் சொன்னபடியே நடந்தது. கர்த்தர் இவற்றைத் தம் ஊழியக்காரர்களாகிய தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் மூலம் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்.
