அப்பொழுது அவன்: நான் காண்கிற அந்தக் குறிப்படையாளம் என்ன என்று கேட்டதற்கு, அந்தப் பட்டணத்து மனுஷர்: அது யூதாவிலிருந்து வந்து, நீர் செய்த இந்தக் கிரியைகளைப் பெத்தேலின் பலிபீடத்திற்கு விரோதமாய்க் கூறி, அறிவித்த தேவனுடைய மனுஷனின் கல்லறை என்றார்கள்.

யோசியா, “நான் பார்க்கும் அந்த நினைவு சின்னம் என்ன?” என்று கேட்டான். நகர ஜனங்கள் அவனிடம், “இது யூதாவிலிருந்து வந்த ஒரு தேவமனிதரின் (தீர்க்கதரிசியின்) கல்லறை. பெத்தேல் என்னும் பலிபீடத்தில் நீ செய்தவற்றைப் பற்றி இவர் முன்னரே கூறியுள்ளார்” என்றனர்.

பின்பு அவர், “அதோ! அங்கு தெரியும் நினைவுச் சின்னம் யாருடையது?” என்று கேட்டார். அந்நகர மக்கள், “அது யூதா நாட்டைச் சார்ந்த கடவுளின் அடியவர் ஒருவரின் கல்லறை. நீர் பெத்தேலின் பலிபீடத்திற்கு இப்படியெல்லாம் செய்வீர் என்று உரைத்தவர் அவர் தான்” என்றனர்.

Appoluthu avan: naan kaannkira anthak kurippataiyaalam enna entu kaettatharku, anthap pattanaththu manushar: athu yoothaavilirunthu vanthu, neer seytha inthak kiriyaikalaip peththaelin palipeedaththirku virothamaayk koori, ariviththa thaevanutaiya manushanin kallarai entarkal.
