இஸ்ரவேலெங்கும் இருக்கிற ஆசாரியரும் லேவியரும் தங்கள் எல்லா எல்லைகளிலுமிருந்து அவனிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள்.

கிழக்குவாசலைக் காக்கிற இம்னாவின் மகனாகிய கோரே என்னும் லேவியன், கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்தப்பட்ட காணிக்கைகளையும் மகா பரிசுத்தமானவைகளையும் பங்கிட, தேவனுக்கு செலுத்தும் உற்சாகக் காணிக்கைகள்மேல் அதிகாரியாயிருந்தான்.

தேவனுக்கு ஜனங்கள் தாராளமாய்க் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட காணிக்கைகளுக்குக் கோரே பொறுப்பாளியாக இருந்தான். கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்ட காணிக்கைகளைத் திருப்பி விநியோகிக்கும் பொறுப்பும் அவனுக்கு இருந்தது. கோரே கிழக்கு வாசலுக்குக் காவல்காரனாக இருந்தான். லேவியனாகிய இம்னா என்பவன் அவனது தந்தை ஆவான்.
