அப்பொழுது தாவீது அபிகாயிலை நோக்கி: உன்னை இன்றையதினம் என்னைச் சந்திக்க அனுப்பின இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்.

ஆனாலும் அகீக்காமின் மகனாகிய கெதலியா கரேயாவின் மகனாகிய யோகனானை நோக்கி: நீ இந்தக் காரியத்தைச் செய்யாதே; இஸ்மவேலின்மேல் நீ பொய் சொல்லுகிறாய் என்றான்.

ஆனால், அகிக்காமின் மகனான கெதலியா கரேயாவின் மகனான யோகனானிடம், “இஸ்மவேலைக் கொல்லாதே. நீ இஸ்மவேலைப்பற்றிச் சொல்வது எல்லாம் உண்மை அல்ல” என்றான்.
