என் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோனே, நீ என் பிதாவின் தேவனை அறிந்து, அவரை உத்தம இருதயத்தோடும் உற்சாக மனதோடும் சேவி; கர்த்தர் எல்லா இருதயங்களையும் ஆராய்ந்து, நினைவுகளின் தோற்றங்களையெல்லாம் அறிகிறார்; நீ அவரைத் தேடினால் உனக்குத் தென்படுவார்; நீ அவரை விட்டுவிட்டால் அவர் உன்னை என்றைக்கும் கைவிடுவார்.

“என் மகன் சாலொமோனாகிய நீ உன் தந்தையின் தேவனைப் பற்றி அறிவாய், சுத்தமான இருதயத்தோடு தேவனுக்கு சேவை செய். தேவனுக்கு சேவை செய்வதில் மனதில் மகிழ்ச்சிகொள். ஏனென்றால், கர்த்தருக்கு ஒவ்வொருவரின் மனதினுள்ளும் என்ன இருக்கிறது என்பது தெரியும். நீ நினைக்கிற அனைத்தையும் கர்த்தர் புரிந்துகொள்வார். நீ உதவிக்கு கர்த்தரிடம் போனால், அவர் பதில் தருவார். ஆனால் நீ கர்த்தரிடமிருந்து விலகினால் அவர் என்றென்றைக்கும் விட்டுவிடுவார்.
